Yusuf Demir

What worried me a lot about Demir is his technique seems questionable as well. If you look at his highlights from Austria which everyone was basing this Turkish Messi nickname off, he is taking on two, three defenders and making beautiful plays, but as soon as he faces professional opposition he can't dribble past anyone and can only use his skills to keep the ball, not advance it.

He is 18 so of course he will improve, but the lack of speed, strength, height, and pretty much everything physical means that his ceiling is lower and he needs to be outstanding technically to be a top player. We haven't really seen that or any indications of it so far, even if he is slow, he could still play a great through ball or make a good cross, but we haven't seen any of that.

He would be best served going back to Rapid and becoming a starter there first before he tries to become a starter in Barca or Dortmund or whatever top division club he is going to next. It's clear he has a lot of improvement to do to be a proper pro player, as right now he just looks lost in professional football. A YouTube illusion.

Demir on loan from Rapid Vienna but a deal where he joins permanently for 10 million if he plays 10 games. He s played 9. He needs to go back to help make room for Ferran.

Confirmed.

Terminating his loan midseason as Luuk means Xavi is not impressed with these guys. Basically got rid of most of Koeman's signings this season.

Probably back to Austria or a team in Bundesliga I’d imagine.

Those pre-season performances against Juve and Salzburg ultimately did him more harm than good. Rushed his entrance to the first team when he needed time with the B-team to develop.
