Yes I know the goal keepers are not supposed to receive the ball with their hands when a team mate makes an intentional back pass.... But he received the ball with his foot! So, to my knowledge, he can then handle it

Well you got it a bit mixed up - if you intentionally pass the ball with your foot to the goalkeeper, he cant pick it up.

You can however pass the ball intentionally with your head or your butt. You can also pass the ball with a powerful pelvic thrust. He is then allowed to pick it up, should he still want to.

Example:

If the pelvic thrust is successfully executed, the goalkeeper is allowed to pick the ball up.
