I'm curious.
What happens if the laporta board comes back in and nothing changes in terms of the running of the club and the performances?
A good question, but...
The last time when Laporta was here, he "produced" two golden generations of our team:
-- Rijkaard's team and Pep's team
-- so, basically, in the whole history of Barcelona, we managed to win only one Champions league title (in 1992 with Crujff)
-- and then, Laporta alone managed to "create" 2 awesome generations of players
-- basically, he is responsible for our last 3 titles Rijkaard-Pep-Pep (3 out of 4 Barca's titles in the whole history)
Just a few comparisons about Laporta's last era here with Rossell's era:
1. Laporta is a much better man in personal than this freud Rossell who managed to do all this mess with Neymar's transfer and with transfer ban
2. Laporta's coaches were Rijkaard and Pep
-- Rossell's coaches were Pep, Tito, Tata and Lucho
3. Laporta "created" two new cycles
-- the first one with Rijkaard when he bought 15 new players and build a winning team who will play both with him and later under Pep
-- the second cycle was with Pep, and Laporta "allowed" a new era, a fresh cycle, and selling of all dead superstars (Ronaldinho, Deco, Guily etc)
4. Laporta's sporting director was Txiki Begiristain
-- Rossell's director was Zubi, lol
There are no guarantees that things will work well with Laporta, but that guy at least "knows" how to create a new era and a new success.
Rossell never showed that he knows anything.
He just continued on Laporta's success and later ruined the club like Gaspart.
A question: are you sure that Laporta will be better than Rossell is almost equally offensive as a question: "are you sure that if Pep would come back, that his team would have a better ball and player movement and a better gameplan than current Lucho's team? Lol
-- yes, that is exactly how absurd the question is
Laporta will surely kick out 10 players from the current team, buy 2-3 new leaders for the new generation and buy a bunch of younger players with hunger (players which come to my mind are players like Reus, Koke and similar)
-- when he was the president, his sporting directors and coaches bought younger future superstars lie Etoo, Ronaldinho
-- Rossell was only interested in creating galacticos with too expensive signings of forwards like Neymar and Suarez
Also, on top of all, Laporta was already a president and he learned some things.
He knows how to build a winning team (he did it twice), but he also probably learned what he did wrong and he will do it better/differently this time.
So, Laporta is not a rookie.
On the other hand:
-- Rossell is a fraud, idiot and a rookie
-- Zubi was a rookie
-- Lucho was a rookie
Laporta is something like Ancelloti, Mourinho and similar coaches.
He is the guy who already won some things and he probably knows how to repeat it.
Rossell on the other hand, lol. I don't even need to explain.
A clown in all areas.
