    Penal Madrid

The VAR crew needs to be investigated. They were clearly the protagonists in the robbery here. The ref for the most part would have had a fine enough game without the VAR interference.

Yeah, in terms of what has been proven, of course Pep and Klopp far exceed him, they have already done it, so naturally anyone looking for a manager will pick one of those two if they were available since they give a guarantee to be the best managers in the world. I feel that he is close to...

    Serie A

I wouldn't compare him and Emery. Emery is a guy who has had many attempts at well resourced clubs and never been able to bring major success but competes for goals in the tier below (EL, top4 etc). Inzaghi has led a team with negative net spend during his tenure, in financial crisis and...

    Serie A

The best thing in my opinion is the system. They play an incredible style of football you really can't grasp unless you watch them. 5 at the back was considered dead in top level football but not only has he brought it back, he brought it back with a possession and attacking style also. The way...

Me! I was also on the Thiago Motta train before it was trendy. See here. In general, Calcio is a very underrated league with a lot more talent not given credit for both playing and managing. Inzaghi is one of the best managers in the world and up there with Pep and Klopp but you'll never hear...

Liga Round 20: Real Betis - Barca 2-4

He looks really stiff. Like, he can only go certain ways, and often times when he has to carry the ball over a long distance or make a difficult touch he trips over his own legs. In particular he really struggles to go to the outside of a defender and can only carry the ball towards the inside...

    2 - Pau Cubarsí

La Masia is still the best academy in the world.

Vitor Roque (loaned to Real Betis)

He's very young and new to the club. He might not be able to contribute instantly. It could be years before we see anything special from him and that's normal, he is only 18 and is out of Brazil for the first time playing for Barca.

    13 - Iñaki Peña

If this MATS injury lasts any longer teams are going to start winning games off targeting him. Fact the gap hasn't extended much is a miracle. Equally, we need to sign a emergency replacement if he is going to be out for some time more if we want to get anything this season.

    Xavi Hernández

We should have cut the gap today. Its a shame because these types of games can decide a season.

Our last 3 games against Betis - 4-2, 5-0, 4-0. This matchup is generally very good for us recently. So equally as I said it was an easy game I would caution about taking too much from beating them in the 90th minute. One thing it did show us is that Ferran Torres should be the starter going...

Liga Round 20: Real Betis - Barca 2-4

Ferran has the athleticism and movement to make a difference, if he's always composed like today, he can score many goals. In any case, still better than Lewa even on a bad day. Lewa is ok at poaching goals but offers nothing aside of that and cant be dangerous at all on the counter as he doesnt...

    La Liga 23/24

Calling the ref to the monitor for that handball especially is incredible, there's no evidence at all to say his onfield decision was wrong. What a surprise to see it was HH in the VAR room. Consistently one of the worst refs in LaLiga every season.

    La Liga 23/24

The word robbery is excessively used and its meaning diminished often, but if there was ever any game you could really say was a robbery, it would be this one. Almeria have had 3 points stolen from them. Ref was the biggest contributor to Madrid win.

And the funniest thing is even with all this Madrid probably wont win it.

    La Liga 23/24

Bellingham is genuinely incredible, has everything. Crazy athleticism as well as great technique.

    La Liga 23/24

Was about to say this. VAR officials who have access to exact replays of all these incidents made him overturn his own correct decisions. There is some pressure on refs not to oppose the VAR too when they call you over, given they have a better view of it than you.

    La Liga 23/24

That's one of the problems with VAR, slow motion replays can mislead and obscure what actually happened when you can't see the velocity in real time.
