Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

You implied that there are no proven elite options available. But Xavi wasn't either and he's apparently one of the best according to you. Who's to say we can't find someone better?

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

Xavi had no real managing experience before we hired him. We hired him because he's a Barca legend and nothing else. You approve of his continuity despite that. Now apparently we can only hire proven elite managers who succeeded in top clubs.

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

Whatever you think of Xavi a change is needed now because we've lost any real organisation. As the poster above mentions we're getting shown up in positional play by fodder.

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

I think you'll be surprised at what can be achieved with a proper tactical system. The squad needs some changes also, but what I hope is that a new manager who isnt obsessed with La Masia and rebuilding the golden age considers selling some of our youngsters to make funds for a squad overhaul.

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

We joke but it probably is one of the reasons. He had his problems, but we brought in a guy who is even slower and on top has a quarter of the technical ability. Now we play with no true DM because Romeu is that bad. Busquets needed replacing long ago. Having to scramble with no money to find a...

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

To be honest? The tactics didn't work the same after Dembele left. After that point we got by off pure physicality and organisation and did well neutralising teams but we lost our bite after that. This season, he changed the tactics and still hasn't been able to find anything that works, he is...

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

The regression that we've made from last season is catastrophic. Teams used to have to really work to even get past our first line of pressure, now they walk through our midfield, we've completely lost organisation and control. Whilst we had similar scoring issues last season we generally didn't...

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

Very few teams really have a great back up keeper, many teams like us just use their youth products, because goalies very rarely get injured.

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

Anyway, I hope now we are understanding how good Stegen really is. A keeper isn't only reflected by their direct shot stopping. Their positioning, organisation of the defense, anticipation etc. can result in what would be goals against other keepers, not being chances at all due to their...

Liga Round 19: Las Palmas - Barca 1-2

There is a fair chance we don't finish in top4 this season if we continue in this manner.

7.5 xG for Liverpool today. Surely got to be setting some kind of record.

    Xavi Hernández

I think the problem is that we weren't brilliant last season despite winning the title and we aren't showing clear direction from and since. We were grouped in CL and then knocked out of the EL. That shouldn't happen to a team having an amazing season, regardless of if being matched with Inter...

    Premier League 23/24

Have you realised most English clubs spend a lot of money yet? If everyone does it it isnt an advantage.

    Xavi Hernández

Proof will be in the pudding anyway.. let's see how the next manager of Barca does and let's see how Xavi does after he leaves Barcelona. Serghei talks about how good Xavi would be if he had a big budget but I don't think he would be successful in the EPL or at any other top club really. I...

    Xavi Hernández

You are the one who said this... you claimed he was the best ball winner in the world not so long ago... and argued your case very insistently. Now its a joke to call him a fantastic player because he hasn't played in CL knockouts... neither has Saka who you called best winger in EPL...

    8 - Pedri

But Pedri has never. Fati its reasonable to say that for because he has a long history throughout his youth of injury problems but Pedri did not have that until late 2021. Now he is suddenly incredibly injury prone despite never being injured for Las Palmas or during his debut season.

    8 - Pedri

What I don't get is the why? This is so weird to suddenly happen to a player and especially one who should have access to the best rehab possible and theoretically, or apparently, is extremely committed and dedicated to his football.

    8 - Pedri

Not really. Guys like Bruno, Busquets, Jorginho basically never get injured. Those kind of low intensity players usually don't because they are more long distance types. The explosive big contraction players like Dembele or Adama or Araujo suffer it more. For Pedri to it is very strange and also...

    8 - Pedri

Its worrying because players with this kind of build don't usually get injured, let alone be injured all the time. That's typically for bigger explosive players. Come to think of it it started with the advent of his 'physical training' which doesn't seem to have been coordinated properly with...

    8 - Pedri

Injured again. To be honest it's hard to think this guy will have any kind of meaningful career now if there's an underlying cause to this. I doubt its just bad luck, he is constantly picking up muscle injuries, either something is wrong with the physical preparation or something's just wrong...
