    Europa League

Man United who are the 4th in England have now easily knocked out : - Barcelona - Real Betis - Sevilla All in a row whilst having several other competitions to manage for. LaLiga is sadly declining very hard.

    Xavi Hernández

Xavi's best point so far into his tenure is firmly backing MATS and Dembele when 99 percent of fans would have released them for free at the end of last season. They then went on to be key players in a league winning season and undoubtedly two of our best players. Did get rid of Pique and Alba...

    Xavi Hernández

He's not the worst coach out there at all. Fair few worse than him have passed through top clubs. Just don't think he is a top level manager and not with the likes of ETH or Pep at the moment.

Arteta was 8th at this point into his rebuild. I agree that we should see Ten Hag competing for the title after 3 years of management like Arteta did, but hasn't even been close to that long yet.

    Xavi Hernández

If people on here were so desperate to dog Xavi they would be agreeing with Serghei and talking about how terrible ETH is as just makes him look worse for losing to him. But we're not. Ironically the shoe is on the other foot.

You play Madrid 2 times out of 40. Most games in Spain are against fodder teams with negative net spend who come out playing for 0-0 every game. It's not as competitive as the Prem and I'm not sure even the most ardent Xavi backers on the forum think LL is comparable to Prem.

Yeah so I guess the guy managing the team top of my local Sunday league is just as good as Xavi then since both first place. Anyway, painting out ETH to be this mediocre manager just reflects worse on Xavi for going out against him with a better squad.

It's not easy to compete against several very well funded and well managed projects like Arsenal or City or Newcastle or even teams like Chelsea who are mid table over there. There are many other teams investing and angling heavily for top4 also and getting that itself is a success. Unlike...

    Champions League 2022/2023

Lampard's tactics literally had Raheem Sterling playing up front as a target man with the team sending long balls and crosses into him as if he was Zlatan. Lol. Probably most posters on this forum could set up Chelsea better than they were today and yet they only lost 2-0 a man down. Madrid...

    Champions League 2022/2023

You reckon? I don't think Chelsea can possibly have been set up worse than today and yet only lost 2-0 after also getting a red. That shows you they probably could've won today. 2-0 is a huge missed opportunity.

    Champions League 2022/2023

People talk about our transfer market. How can 600m be spent by Chelsea and the team isn't even a bit better in quality than it was before? Not even a bit. Their owner is a complete imbecile. Awful transfers.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Keeping Sterling and Felix on the field this long is shocking decision from Lampard. Both been awful. Should have both been off at half.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Did you see the play? It wasn't his fault at all. Cucurella lost Rodrygo despite being way in front seconds earlier and Chilwell had to move over and stop the goal with a foul.

    Champions League 2022/2023

That isn't Chilwell's fault in the slightest. Cucurella somehow managed to lose him when he was alone vs the whole backline and then Chilwell had to move over to foul him and stop the goal.

    Champions League 2022/2023

The only thing he ever looks to do on the ball is pass it as soon as he gets it. When he takes more than a few touches looks like he's got an anchor weighing him down. Can barely move. That's gonna be a big weakness going forward if the only thing he can do with the ball is pass it instantly.

    Champions League 2022/2023

We actually drew the game you're talking about though. The one we lost (which therefore knocked us out) we only conceded one goal, and the problem was that we created literally nothing.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Inter are playing with 33 year old Darmian out of position at CB and made the semis (or should do anyway). If they are there with their team no way it is impossible for us to compete. Also Alonso was literally a starter for a CL winning team a couple years ago. Not Cagliari level.

    Champions League 2022/2023

Not terrible. But it is a minimum expectation to be able to beat them once over two games. Should really be able to beat them twice however if want to be up there with the best teams who would probably do that.

    Champions League 2022/2023

They are 'underrated' because they're 13 points behind one of the worst Barcas of the last 2 decades. Granted, they have a lot of factors making them much better in cup games, but they have not been anything special this season. If anything teams respect them too much and parking the bus...

    Champions League 2022/2023

Inter is a solid team and they have a coach who's extremely good in cup games. It will be very impressive if anyone puts 5 past them.
