Tottenham and some other club offered 17mil.

He could go for 20 easily.

Him and De Jong coud get is 100mil.
Kounde 55, Lewa 45 and Rapinha 55.

It will be really good balance in books concidering we have 5 new players.

That would be ridiculously good piece of business.

Teams wont offer him huge wages or signing on bonus of 20m as team mates will kick up fuck the club giving that to a player.

The free transfers of this summer have not been getting huge money.

He is a really good player and 20 mil is more than a fair price for him. No way we should let him go for free. I am 100% sure that with a WC in Qatar behind the corner he won't accept sitting on the stands until than. We should stay firm on this one.

Don't take the 20m at face value, but one thing us clear he's in an infinitely better negotiation position if he's free.

If he stays he could very well end up with almost no playing time at all, so not necessarily that great of a position.

Hope we'll find an amicable solution for him that will please both parties.

Unlike Umtiti or Mavericky he's still ambitious and wants to play regularly so will no doubt accept to leave imo. Especially a few months before WC when all players want to stay in form.

Should let him find a club he wants to join and then negotiate a fee with them. Even if it's only 10m or so it's better than let him go for nothing.

He did us a favor last season and was always professional so that's at least we can do not try to push him going to a club he doesn't want to join just because we'd get a million or two more.

If he wants to leave free we should let him. As mc_lovin mentioned earlier in this thread he gave up a lot of free agent bonuses to come here (low wage, short contract, no signing fee).

So the right thing to do would be to let him go free so he can obtain the good contract he would have gotten, and have a better choice of clubs.

We could get 20m from him but likely from clubs he won't want to go to like Newcastle. If he goes free more likely better clubs will take a punt on him so assume that's why he's asked (on top of free agent perks re contract).

Credit when it's due. Despite his precarious situation at the club the guy comes it and put on a shift every game of these preseason games.

Now he doesn't want to leave either. For such a terrible and classless club, we do have a pull.
