    Lionel Messi - v7

Messi is 3 times more profitable than his salary so he may lighten the bill in the short term, in finance and sportingly, but this will fuck us even more in repaying debt over the next year's and FFP lol

    Lionel Messi - v7

The pathetic bluffs from the board leading up to this were even worse. Needing a 'amazing offer' to let Griezmann and Coutinho leave? Jokes.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Fabrizio has lost so much credibility today

    Lionel Messi - v7

I mean Romero to Barca was never serious and we clearly didn't have the capital for it so if its over that Laporta has clearly made some promises he can't keep

    Lionel Messi - v7

If you didn't notice Messi is also a major source of income for the club lol, he makes far more than he takes and when that's gone we are even more fucked. He is a huge financial net asset and if he does leave you will see the effects of that in the coming years.

    Lionel Messi - v7

Laporta so far in transfers : Todibo Trincao Collado Firpo Manaj Moriba All young fringe players, not one single high earner.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I love everyone here ranting about Messi being 'greedy' with wages when he could go to PSG and get 700k right now hahaha, he's not greedy our club is just in complete disarray and that's not his fault

    Lionel Messi - v7

Even Fabrizio was sold about Messi's renewal. And the Marca article mentions things looked tied up a few days ago so it's entirely possible when Leo got to Barca they offered him lower terms than what had been agreed

    Lionel Messi - v7

Tbf the indications we were in trouble this summer were very apparent, Atletico's tier ones were certain it was either Grizzy or Messi to be registered, and we've literally moved nobody but young players. The increasingly desperate bluffs from Laporta like saying it would take a great offer to...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Looks like Marca are saying the problem is the salary. So maybe the rumours about him being asked to take a further wage cut may be true given it's been reported for months that he agreed to 250k/week.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I'd also like to add that Catalan media have turned into a complete USSR-style propaganda outlet of Laporta's board and, if Messi doesn't renew, that you can no longer listen to anything they say pertaining to Barca's finances or renewals. They have already been very wrong on a bunch of renewals...

    Lionel Messi - v7

Lol if Messi doesn't renew Barca is fucked.

    ^ Probably bullshit.

    Lionel Messi - v7

I mean the indication was that the CVC deal actually allowed Barca to register Messi/new signings and prior to that cash injection we weren't able to - and will remain so if we don't accept it. So I doubt Laporta is turning it down.

    Lionel Messi - v7

It wasn't 'pre-agreed' like this bullshit propaganda catalan media told us then was it. Either even with the cash injection it's still not enough or Messi did not agree to the pay cut instantly as has been proposed.

    6 - Gavi

He's short but he looks pretty agile and strong for his size. It interested me to see him losing the ball bc he really runs back with a vengeance when he does, he has a bit of fire in his game.

    6 - Gavi

One of the things I am increasingly noticing is how physically mature he looks. Typically that isn't a great sign bc it indicates there's less room for growth in that regard.

    2021 Preseason

To top it off we signed an injury-prone 33 year old Aguero as our only proper 9. Lol.

    2021 Preseason

Braithwaite just standing in the same spot all game got him a goal hahahaha

    2021 Preseason

Demir is a lot slower than I thought. But terrific dribbling. He is really more an AM than winger. Braithwaite offers frankly no presence in the box, poor movement, can't finish for shit, nor can he hold up the ball very well and he's 30 years of age. The fact we are letting him play for us...
