    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Well, there could be one if Barca pays the buyout clause of an RM player. Or vice versa. But that's the only way a Real to Barca (or vice versa) transfer can happen. What's Di Maria's buyout clause (yes, I know it's way beyond what we'd ever pay)? It wasn't a certain number of matches, it...

    Ángel Di María

The only clubs that would give them more money than RM are the sugar daddy clubs, and if I were a footballer, I'd rather play for RM than them.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

No one who watches him rates him. Including the Brazilian on this forum. Hell, as I said, NO ONE rates him besides Zubi and co. Therefore, he sucks. Once again, I don't need to have watched him to know that. Seriously, I don't need to watch every god damn player day in day out to have a general...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

If people who watch the French league day in day out think he's good, then he's good.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Jumping to conclusions I see. Pretty much everyone who watches Aurier rates him. Including this forum's French league fan. Which means he's good. Definitely way better than Douglas (the guy who plays for a team whose fans would pay us to take him from them). I don't have to have watched him to...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

There was Aurier. About the same price and far more likely to succeed. It's a 6 million euro gamble that's 95% likely to fail.

    Aymeric Laporte

"Interest" is very different from a concrete offer. If I were him, a concrete offer would have done a lot more to tempt me than interest.

    Adriano Correia Claro

There's pretty much no difference between how he plays at LB and RB. He's ambidextrous.

    Aymeric Laporte

Did he have any concrete offers? If he didn't, then I don't think signing a new contract proves that he wouldn't have been tempted.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

I'd take Benatia, Pique and Bartra over Mathieu, Pique and Bartra. The latter is what we have now since Vermaelen's pretty much always injured. +1 IMO, it was still a good transfer window (maybe my standards are low because of the transfer windows of the past few seasons), if only because of...

    Aymeric Laporte

Still not comparable to a club like Barca. I still think the prospect of playing for a top club would tempt him, even if he had to pay his own buyout clause. Especially if that top club really needs a CB. This doesn't just apply to Barca, I think any top club desperate for a CB would be able to...

Transfers and Rumours - old thread

Balotelli can be really good when he wants to be. That's the problem.

    Aymeric Laporte

You're underestimating top clubs here. If he got an offer from one that was willing to pay his buyout clause, he would at least consider it. As any player would. Because, as I said, every player dreams of playing for a club like Barca, Madrid, etc. You do not say no to such clubs unless you play...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Clearly not very many if they actually rate him. Since they're the only ones who do. Or maybe they have scouted him a lot and are dumb enough to think he's good. Probably both (haven't scouted him a lot and they're dumb enough to think he's good). This is Henrique/Keirrison all over again.

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

This is not a bargain, this is wasting money on a mediocre player. If you really wanna buy a diamond in the rough, then scout properly for a real one instead of buying the first random nobody you come across in the Brazilian league. Not every unknown player is a diamond in the rough like...

    Aymeric Laporte

Bilbao wouldn't have had a choice but to let him go if we paid the buyout clause + taxes (which I doubt would have been more than the 43m we offered for Marquinhos). After that, I don't think it would have been too difficult to tempt Laporte, after all, no one not playing for a top club would...

    Barça's Transfers and Rumors

Then they're dumbasses. No one else sees anything in him. NO ONE. Especially the fans that watch the Brazilian league day in, day out. Sao Paolo fans would pay us to take him from them ffs. He's no diamond in the rough like Varane. He's a deservedly unknown player. Buying unknown players only...

    Aymeric Laporte

Agreed. If we wanted a super expensive youngster, we should have gone for Laporte, since a) Marquinhos was clearly not for sale at any price and b) Laporte had a buyout clause.
