I was never really pessimistic about the season as a whole. Just the defense. And I still am. I feel we'll do well in spite of our defense, not because of it. I'm still underwhelmed (to say the least) by our CB signings.

On a scale of 1 to 10. I'm a 7 or an 8. We have the best attack in the world on paper, and a very good midfield as well, and I think we'll win stuff, but I feel our defense is still lacking. The CB spot has the quantity it lacked in the past few seasons, but I feel it's still lacking in quality...

Which says more about how bad the club is at transfers than it does about the Song transfer. Wasting 20m on someone who'd barely play when we needed a CB. The fact that we've made worse transfers is just sad.
