Yeah my first retort to my own claim would have been KdB tbh. Yeah he plays quite advanced but....would still call him a midfielder. Still early days but Bellingham might rise up to get in the conversation soon, especially now that he's playing for Madrid.

Really do believe that FdJ in a top team, the likes of Madrid and City, is right up there in conversation for best midfielder in the world. Right now he's considered one of the top 10 sure, but talking about being the very best. He has a ridiculous amount of talent. He would be scary at a top team.

I was wondering the same thing. A cheap guy of his profile is one of the easier finds in football, especially if we aren't expecting any magic with passing. He brings nothing to us, just an outright pathetic signing once again.

Wary of these big wins in friendlies. Don't have any numbers with me, but I always feel that the real season tends to invariably go drastically different from the pre season results. i.e. lots of pre season hype and results and you get smashed in the season; doom and gloom pre season and things...

That miss - it's one thing when the game has already been won and he's just going for his goal or a record or something. To do that when the game is 1-0 against your second highest biggest rival when you're trying to close the league. If Xavi doesn't bench him next game, that'd be a travesty.

He's worse than Coutinho, but considering Coutinho's 2.5x the price tag of this guy, I still think he's the worst signing in the clubs history, by a mile. Possibly one of the worst signings in the history of football (alongside Hazard).

What is visible is how slow he has become with decision making and the ball on his feet. When he gets the ball in good positions, near or inside the box, everything seems to happen in slow motion. Just sorting out his feet, him deciding to shoot, etc...it's all so slow that he's pretty much...

Really don't understand why we signed him Free or not - if you were to describe the prototype of the exact midfielder we don't want - he is it. I mean, he's not even strong, just gives away fouls at basically any attempt to win the ball. He seems to have no clue how to make a tackle without...
