La Liga Round 5: Barca - Real Betis 5-0

Great game against opposition that were horrendous. We need these games to build confidence. Doesn't reflect our level or no signs for our season to be read from here imo. Let's see how we come up against food European teams.

La Liga Round 5: Barca - Real Betis 5-0

I was thinking about going to the game this weekend, but I can't afford too many games this season and so I have to be wary of choosing a game where I might have to see BOB on the pitch....Also, I know he came on in the previous game, but what's up with Inigo, is he back to 100% fitness?

    8 - Pedri

As an Indian, I approve this message.

    Frenkie de Jong

Madrid are a top team and don't get battered in CL every year like we do. The fact that we shithoused our way to La Liga doesn't change that fact. Try harder.

    Frenkie de Jong

Yeah my first retort to my own claim would have been KdB tbh. Yeah he plays quite advanced but....would still call him a midfielder. Still early days but Bellingham might rise up to get in the conversation soon, especially now that he's playing for Madrid.

    19 - Lamine Yamal

Lol at the ridiculous takes on here. How is not overhyping someone equate to being a 'doubter'? I literally said I like him and that he's an exciting young player, and that somehow = doubter? The kid has played some 200 minutes or something for us ffs. And my point of us routinely calling...

    19 - Lamine Yamal

Seeing a bit of the overhyping of Lamal as I saw with Fati (not just on the forum, I mean in general). I think he's a promising young player, that's about it. It feels to me that we've been so starved of talent and we've been through such a tumultuous time after our Pep era that we go...

    Frenkie de Jong

Really do believe that FdJ in a top team, the likes of Madrid and City, is right up there in conversation for best midfielder in the world. Right now he's considered one of the top 10 sure, but talking about being the very best. He has a ridiculous amount of talent. He would be scary at a top team.

    Oriol Romeu (loaned to Girona)

I was wondering the same thing. A cheap guy of his profile is one of the easier finds in football, especially if we aren't expecting any magic with passing. He brings nothing to us, just an outright pathetic signing once again.

    2023 Preseason

Wary of these big wins in friendlies. Don't have any numbers with me, but I always feel that the real season tends to invariably go drastically different from the pre season results. i.e. lots of pre season hype and results and you get smashed in the season; doom and gloom pre season and things...

    Mikayil Faye

On paper, is he being bought for the B-team or for the first team?

    Champions League 2022/2023

While I'm enjoying Madrid look like school kids, some part of my brain hurts knowing this shit oil club going to finally get their CL.

    Women's football

So I'm watching this game...and can't help think that the Femini are genuinely, without hyperbole, a better team than the men's team, and it's not even close. I don't mean they can beat the men's team ofc - just take out the physical aspects of it. But if you look at their patterns of play...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

That miss - it's one thing when the game has already been won and he's just going for his goal or a record or something. To do that when the game is 1-0 against your second highest biggest rival when you're trying to close the league. If Xavi doesn't bench him next game, that'd be a travesty.
  17. Neeraj

    7 - Ferran Torres

He's worse than Coutinho, but considering Coutinho's 2.5x the price tag of this guy, I still think he's the worst signing in the clubs history, by a mile. Possibly one of the worst signings in the history of football (alongside Hazard).

    Xavi Hernández

And what about trying to force FDJ out? That, while it didn't materialize because of FDJ himself, is the biggest crime of it all. But serghei and the usual posters of course will skirt the issue given it didn't actually go through  And if it did, you can bet your house the Xavi apologists...

    9 - Robert Lewandowski

What is visible is how slow he has become with decision making and the ball on his feet. When he gets the ball in good positions, near or inside the box, everything seems to happen in slow motion. Just sorting out his feet, him deciding to shoot, etc...it's all so slow that he's pretty much...

    Franck Kessie

Really don't understand why we signed him Free or not - if you were to describe the prototype of the exact midfielder we don't want - he is it. I mean, he's not even strong, just gives away fouls at basically any attempt to win the ball. He seems to have no clue how to make a tackle without...
