    Xavi Hernández

Unlike immature posters here like you, I don't have an agenda. I want the club to do well, and I give my opinions after waiting for a bit. When Xavi was appointed, I wasn't sure about it since he had no experience, but I was one of the posters here who always maintained we need to give him time...

    Xavi Hernández

We pulled all kinds of levers to hand Xavi a pretty big transfer budget, given our circumstances. What does he do? Add people like Raphinha, Torres, who came for money and garbage players like Alonso. Buys no RB, buys only RW and leaves nobody on LW, puts FDJ up for sale and lets club push him...

    4 - Ronald Araújo

Vinicius did drift in a lot to pull Araujo out of position, but I don't think Araujo could follow him any more than he did, as then he'd leave Busquets isolated on the flank against the Madrid LB. One of Busquets or Kessie should have been on Vinicius when he started to pull Araujo out of...

    23 - Jules Kounde

Was never that impressed with him seeing him for France or Sevilla either. Especially the ball-playing aspect. He looks dross and awkward as hell on the ball. Heck even our 'worst' ball playing CB Araujo looks a lot more comfortable on the ball than Kounde. He's not the worst CB out there, he's...

    4 - Ronald Araújo

He was good, with that exceptional recovery and clearance against Vinicius. Vini Jr is one of the top dribblers in the world, you don't expect anyone to shut him down 10/10 times that is just stupid. He'd get past average defenders 8-9 times out of 10 and the fact that with Araujo it's like a...

    Xavi Hernández

This. I've been on about this point for a while. And Xavi is more of the same. Okay, we had big missing players, if we went out, it wouldn't be the end of the world. But we got smashed 4-0 and it really could have been 6-0. How can you possibly absolve the manager in this case? It's not like we...

Liga Round 26: FC Barcelona - Real Madrid 2-1

While Bob has been a nothing player for a while, this is one of the few occasions it shouldn't make such a huge difference, when he's part of a 4 Man midfield and has just to keep things simple, safe, back passes and overall maintain a defensive shape. Kessie offers more by way of offensive runs...

Liga Round 25: Athletic Bilbao - FC Barcelona 0-1

Defensive mastermind  And yet, against any decent team in Europe, we let goals in like we're playing without a keeper. Unreal hyping of a clueless coach who has us playing like dog shit against piss poor La Liga opposition. Not talking about today specifically, I'd take a dogged win in San...

    The Negreira case

Hmm, I'm guessing Madrid would want some fines and sanctions against us, to weaken us, but wouldn't actually want us to get relegated or anything like that. La Liga without Barca would be an economic collapse and Madrid would be the most affected aside from Barca itself.

    The Negreira case

Anybody have the TLDR on this? Have been away from the forum and news for a while. I am aware that there was a case that came up a some weeks back about payments to a referee consultant, and that's about it. What are the further developments since then, in summary?

Liga Round 24: FC Barcelona - Valencia CF 1-0

What's up with the forum? Quite hard to access it, taking me to random ass links.

    Xavi Hernández

There is no chance Xavi gets sacked before the end of the 23/24 season. We probably win LL--> he gets renewed. There is no way he gets sacked mid season next season, even though we're going to get thumped in Europe again. He has too much money in the bank with the Catalans and Laporta is a...

    Xavi Hernández

He is a bum, yeah, but serghei just pulling the you card - picking a side and then going full delusional, like you did (and still do) with EV. Some people are happy to have opinions and then change them if they see they are wrong, others, not so much.

    Xavi Hernández

Nobody is saying Xavi is the only problem. Point is he should be doing better with the current players AND the fact that a lot of these players not being good enough is HIS fault. He is the one that signed off on Kessie, Ferran, Raphinha, Lewa, Alonso...

    Xavi Hernández

It's a pity, you have some people in the world who will stand by their ludicrous takes and decisions, just to not look wrong. There's some Xavi apologists on this forum who will come up with the most asinine commentary to somehow make Xavi's decisions look good or less bad, even when literally...

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Absolutely crazy that a simple change to put on pacey players and hit long balls behind us has us rattled like we've never kicked a ball before. Astounding how bad the squad planning, management, coaching, just everything about the club these past few years. Hard to understand how we all see...

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Sold the future of the club to hand over reigns to a Qatar level manager and his brother, and get kicked out in the R32 of the Europa League. Levels

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Tbh doesn't sound like that. With Xavi it seems a bit more of a 'let me cover my ass for a very likely failure' over anything else. With Mourinho, it was a bit different, like you said, world vs us mentality.

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Xavi once again before the game going on about how United is the best team in Europe, they are favourites at home, etc. Big atmosphere at Old Trafford (10x what it was at the Camp Nou). It's time for the players to step up.

EL: Manchester United - FC Barcelona (4-3)

Is that official? Expected lineup given players available. Prefer this to playing Ferran. Try to keep control and somehow get a goal through some set piece/individual quality/against the run of play. With 4-3-3 + Ferran we'd get ripped open + have a toothless front 3 to boot.
