There must be more to it than MAtS being just the way better keeper. Either he gives his colleagues way more confidence or he is orchestrating the whole backline like a defensive coach because they are hardly making any clownish mistakes anymore like the did on a daily basis with Pena in the goal. Can't not only be Cubarsi, because it started to get better once MAtS got back in form after his shaky first game.

Of course Xavi finally stopping to rotate and experiment with his defenders like demanded few months ago helps too. Players are gaining confidence and creating chemistry. Soon they'll be tested against PSG and we'll see how good defense really is.
