I would absolutely love to see what would be said in Bravo's thread if their situations were reversed.

I somehow doubt it would be so understanding ;).
And why would it be? Bravo is 31, much more experienced, speaks the language and plays in spain since 2006.
Really makes no sense to compare their situations.

I think he's going to end up being really good but he needs to be eased into this role. That was the whole purpose of purchasing Bravo for so much money was to allow MATS some time to acclimate to a new team and culture. Lower-table opposition and CDR games are what should be in his future, not a crucial CL game against Ajax on the road or against PSG again.

Bravo and MATs don't compare. Bravo is dripping with experience and can certainly be a dominant figure in goal even if he lets some goals in just like Victor. Having MATs being that exposed at this stage of his career and this level of competition is going to ruin the kid's confidence.

I don't mind him starting in the CL as such as I think he's good enough to fare well under the right circumstances, but he needs more game time in less crucial games to build a solid and stable communication with the team without the added pressure that CL games mean. Less crucial la liga games are the best option to do that. I don't think restricting his game time to the copa would solve the problem at all. If we want him ready for next season, he and the defence need to become a more well-rehearsed unit, I don't see how that's possible in the copa. I don't think resting Bravo for this or that easier LL game is undermining him either.

I really don't see anything "ruining the kid's confidence." Keepers are a special breed, and the top ones, like Ter Stegen, are beyond confident. Mistakes just make them more determined. If anything, I'd think an aging keeper whose abilities are starting to drop would be more prone to self-doubt, some sooner than others (i.e. Casillas). Ter Stegen will be fine, and I'm sure is thrilled to be playing for f'n BARCELONA in the f'n CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!

HE seems a little bit "starstruck" though. He doesnt dare yelling at his defenders when they make misstakes. Like the one from Pique, you saw on his face that he wanted to say something, but didnt dare to.

I thought that. He was just staring at him and almost looked like he was going to shout but decided not to.

¡Gr?*cies Xavi!
Maybe he just doesn't speak Spanish so good right now. Don't think that he is too scared.

Would've been fun to see him rage and swear at Piqué and others in German though. Maybe he is building the rage inside him, goal by goal.

He could have shouted at him in English :pep:

Anyway if I was him, one of the first things I would have learnt is some phrases to help organise the defence. However if he had started shouting in German I think the message would have come across :neymar:

Yeah, I would freak out and start getting my shit together if I hear someone behind me shouting in German. Whatever I'm doing, I'd do it better.
