Our untalented lineup gave him ample opportunities to shine tonight. And he was our best player by a huge margin.

Actually, I feel sorry for him.

He's too good for being a bench player.

How is he a bench player? Yes he plays less games than Bravo, but he plays pretty damn important games. I think Ter Stegen feels appreciated and of great value at Barca.

I think he is very bothered by the fact that he is not playing in the league. Having now won both the Copa and CL, I think he truly hungers for league matches. Could create conflicts (i.e. contract extension) in the future.

I don't think so. He plays for Barca and gets to play enough matches. He is young he seems to enjoy his time there and he realizes he is in a great environment for growth, he knows he is going to be the future keeper of Barcelona. Look at them Spanish classes he has been taken, I don't think he wants to go anywhere else right now lol.

Will he play in the World Cup games? He played friendlies + CL + Copa Del Rey. I think the distribution of games between him and Bravo are like 40/60?

Luis Enrique might switch up next season.

It was a clumpsy answer from me...

I meant Ter Stegen is way too good enough to just sit on the bench when it's Liga games instead of just playing 10-15 CL-games.
Sure, these games are important but it isn't enough for his development IMO.
If he ever want to become No.1 in the national team, then the German must play continuously week in and week out.
But considering how things are at the moment, Bravo is our No.1 in the Liga and rightfully so.

Lucho better. My point is not his situation right now though. I'm concerned regarding the contract extension and him wanting to be here long term. He might enjoy his time in the city and on his team, but I dont think he'll accept this role for long (i.e. 1-2 more seasons.). Being CL and Copa keeper wont be enough for him, and if he doesn't sense any trust from the coaches in terms of them wanting him to play league matches.. well then he could look to other places.
