I'm honestly at a point where I'm willing to accept a slight dip in overall goalkeeping quality (his superior distribution would alleviate it heavily anyhow) for a season or so, if it means we have to play him in La Liga next season in order to keep him. Not that we should accept extortion, but I can completely understand if he won't be happy with continued severely reduced playing time - he's just too good for that.
As much as I appreciate Bravo, it would be devestating to lose MAtS. Sacrifices has to be made.
Best case scenarios for me would be:
A: The two swap roles next season. Bravo should be more than a bit interested in a push for the ChL. Whether it's enough for him to accept a degradation (at least on paper) is the question. I'm also far from sure if Lucho is sold on the idea.
B: MAtS accepts an unchanged role for another season with the promise of being first choice for the 17/18 season, as Bravo is now approaching 35. I can see the German accepting this, but I must admit the recent interview Galning linked isn't doing this scenario any favors.
I really don't want a loan deal for him, unless we find the perfect high level club, and honestly, who could that be?
This summer is going to be a thriller - both in terms of external and internal transfers.
I'm for scenario B but let him play in CWC if we win CL again.
