The odds of Cillesen being able to displace Mats are pretty damn low lol

Mats probably rushed back to play against Bilbao, Bravo's departure and Cillessen's late signing made playing him our only real option.

Damn. Already? :(

A sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee, I am reading. Is this the same knee injury that he had before?

Still too early to say injury-prone or what?

Hope Cillessen pulls us through.

Our medical team need to be stricter when it comes to this. Messi had a relapse too last year because they allowed to let him return ahead of schedule.

Better safe than sorry.

How much have you watched Jasper play though

Wasn't bad in the WC, although probably worse than Oblak at penalties.

Third knee injury apparently, this is really concerning.

No matter how good or bad Cillessen is (I personally don't think he is good), he is left in a bad position because of this injury, with very little training and almost zero understanding between him and our defenders. Fingers crossed for the next three games.

Jasper's reputation for being bad at saving penalties and being off form at Ajax since last season made people really skeptical.

In reality he really isn't a bad Keeper. I'm not saying he's Bravo level or even has the potential of Ter Stegen, but a solid backup. Perhaps a change of scenery will help Jasper regain form and improve even more.

Should nonetheless win the next three games against Alaves, Celtic and Leganes. If we don't, then it will likely be because of our defence rather than Cillessen.

NOT AGAIN!!!! How is this possible? He is a goalkeeper! I have never seen a goalkeeper who gets injured 2 times in a month! Unbelievable!!!

Let's hope that Mats will be ready for Copa.

It would be a shame now if he'll lose his spot in all three tournaments :troll:

You're enjoying it, Init?

I expect JC to keep three clean sheets (given our opposition henceforth) with very l'il to do, and you will tell us how he has done nothing wrong to be dropped. I'm sure you 'll appreciate his fancy footwork much more than stegen's as well. :antonella:
