Love the 24 YO is young for a goal keeper defense, after the same Bravo haters claimed he was too old

There was never a Bravo hater in this forum and I really don't remember anyone saying he was "too old" but actually "he is older", which are completely different things (unless you intentionally want to be the same).

BTW, nice to see you here again, after so many time away, coincidentally the same time Bravo left and Mats didn't fuck up.

Welcome back.

To put it into perspective I am a fan of Neymar, but even i have become impatient with him. He has played many great games for Barca and shown potential but he has stagnated recently and isn't taking his game to the next level. By the time you are 24 you should be becoming more mature as a player.

The same applies to ter Stegen...

It is completely different for GK. I am actually really surprised by the fact we need to point that.

Disappointing, actually.

Alvarez is 100% right.

Too many unnecessary risks. Risks are only useful when they benefit the team. Neuer runs out to midfield to clear balls that prevent a 1 vs 1 situation. Sure sometimes he get's caught off and gets lobbed sometimes in the process, but it's understandable to see why he takes those risks.

MAtS dribbling opponents inside the box, or dribbling opponents to the corner flag or making blind passes is just taking risks for the sake of showboating. They don't benefit the team in anyway.

I'm not going to call for his head or campaign to have him replaced. But yesterday was so unnecessary and so uncalled for. He's getting grilled by the media today and rightfully so.

I still cannot believe what I saw yesterday. Outrageous.

You are completely right. And as far as I saw, every "Mats fanboy" here agrees with you.

It was horrible and he better learn from it.

Just watched the blunder again. It was indeed horrible, and the reason it happened in the first place is not because Lucho told him to do this or that, but because of his arrogance and his desire to show how great he is with his feet.

Nailed it, plain and simple. I'm very lenient on GK mistakes and I won't judge the fella till the season's over, but that move was grade A dumbfuckery and I hope I never have to see this shit again.

Thanks! It actually was only a few weeks, it doesn't take too long for MATS to fuck up. You'll probably see me here a couple of times a month.

He played 7 knockout matches when the pressure is on, not 13.
Maybe the sample was too small, and he didn't have time to show "what he can", like he is doing now, when he plays regularly (on larger samples).

[/URL]

The pressure is also on when you lose a group stage match and leading to place second spot.
He clearly showed what he's capable of during that season, if he were shit at first and been making lots of blunders then your point is gonna be ok-ish of what he makes us worried about. But he was good and about recent performances just show it's just a matter of time when he going back to 14/15 form and as i said hopefully he'll be back to his form again and making less blunders throughout a season, it's simple as that, don't need to play with if's and speculations.
And MATTER OF TIME doesn't mean let's wait 3 years and see what's going on, let's just wait for a few months and then start to pointing out something.

We were playing much better than everybody else in that Champions League. It's not like Stegen saved us or anything. He saved a couple of good shots in the first half vs Bayern and that was pretty much it. The rest of the team got the job done by virtually dominating every opponent we've met to the point of deciding every tie (City, PSG and Bayern) after one game.

I didn't say he saved us, The BBZ's point was about making blunders many times and he's saying as if he's been doing that several times since his first debut but he hadn't done any blunders in his first season with such a big club and big competition.

Absolute travesty of a performance, bad thing is that you know that this won't be the last time he does something stupid that leads directly to a goal for the opposition

Well at least you're willing to admit you're nothing more than a Mats troll. Looking forward to your next ban.

If I were you, I'd be embarassed to show my face around here. I mean, the amount of time you spent defending MATS was really impressive. You were the one who talked about Bravo's huge drop of form (only seen by you) being a sign of him clearly going downhill. That MATS with regular game time would really shine. That his brain farts were only due to him playing fewer minutes. That he conceded more goals only because he played against the best teams in Europe.

Have you ever thought about pursuing a career as a psychic?

Okay after seeing that, I would definitely put the first goal on him too.

That was poor pass to Busi.
