It seems like the competition made both Mats and Bravo much better than they normally would have been. Mats in his CL only mode would be all over those balls he's freezing up on. His save against Bayern was save of the season and it's because he busted his ass to keep a ball out that nobody would have blamed him for conceding. And on the flip side, Bravo would not be conceding at the hilarious rate he's conceding over at Man City. In the back of my mind this worried me a bit but I still have faith in Mats and that if we improve as a team he will improve as well.

How did we manage to conceded two goals from open play? Defense's fault or Ter Stegen's brain farts?

Ter Stegen didn't even play, the halves were split between Cillesen and Masip. Masip let in all three goals, but can't really blame him for any of them. The team played quite tentatively tonight, probably because it was a meaningless fixture and they wanted to prevent injuries.

Good to hear some reason from you. I remember not to long ago you saying some of the following ideas:

1. Having 2 keepers is stopping MATS development
2. MATS brain farts are only because he doesn't get as much play time as Bravo
3. Why should we be the only team in the world with 2 WC keepers
4. GK is the only position that doesn't benefit from competition

Finally you're admitting just how incredibly wrong you were.

Well, you were quite wrong yourself implying Bravo was a demi-god who would do well anywhere when he's been catastrophical in England.
