#9? You have Messi and Neymar to score your goals.

If you sign a #9, won't you downgrade their importance in the team?

Ibra?
Or somebody not quite that quality. A striker willing to sit on the bench.

What about Torres?

Torres is meh, don't you see him? Like unstable most of the times, he can produce a decent moment in a game and be completely invisible for the rest of the game. He's a lost card, i wouldn't bet on him. The team doesn't need a CF who will just get in the game as a sub and bring something into it. We need more dynamic style into our attack. Even if a big attacker of the type that is being inside the area against closed teams who play defence he would be isolated inside them. It's better having a type of CF who involves around the game and also scores goals.

But let's not move offtopic..

Torres is alright. Remember, you won't be looking for an Elite #9 as it will cause problems with selection. Messi Neymar and Elite number 9? its not doable unless you player Neymar wide left, Messi wide right. which I hear Messi isn't happy with.

So you'd be looking at a Striker who's good, but is content with being a sparsely used player. FT9 would be, I think.

Aguero would be the best, but it's only a dream, of course.

At the moment, I think the best option would be:

Neymar-Dongou-Messi

Dongou is young, but I think he is ready to player some bigger games. Definitely worth a shot.

The problem with a real #9 is that you'd have to put Messi behind him in offensive midfield, which in return means that we'd have to play with 2 defensive/central midfielders which excludes Iniesta, Cesc and possibly even Xavi due to his poor defensive contribution. I wouldn't mind if we bought a #9 who acts as a plan B but that particular player would have to agree to spend most of his time on the bench and which class player would do that?

Calma, calma
When I, for example, refer to a #9, I mean a set of attributes, not position on the pitch. Attributes such as good runs, positioning, finishing, aerial play etc.

Obviously this player would benefit most by playing at the striker position, but he doesn't necessarily have to play there. Someone like Higuain would be excellent playing to Messi's left or right.

I have not been watching to much German football lately so for all i know he might of been injured or suspended.
Just looked at the projected line ups and he is in the team.
I'm going to watch the game hope he has a great game.
