Funny, that's what all the Brits and Irish around me last season told me as well. Guess who was laughing after the first 50 minutes were done.

Last season Messi wasn't fit and Bayern did not try to dominate possession like this with a high line.

Quit being so arrogant and dismissive.

Oh, and here I thought you were the one being arrogant and dismissive, proclaiming Messi would kill Bayern, without even noticing that Bayern is again/still nowhere near their best XI in today's match.
Also I wonder how you can possibly know how Pep would have Bayern play against Barca. It's not like Bayern have lost the ability to play like Dortmund all of a sudden.

Hence why I said IF they play that high line.

Its an opinion about this season and what would happen regardless of last season when Messi was barely fit and Bayern were playing a different style.

Well, maybe we'll even see this season. :)
But first both teams will have to overcome Arsenal and City. Not like those two are any pushovers.

Yeah that's true and was more a thought on how the game/games might go than any prediction they would def meet.

Obviously that could still not happen.

I'll be honest, his long ball distribution was poor on the night (64% PA acc. whoscored). And when you consider the fact that his MF was unable to retain the ball, it was really annoying he continually chose to go long, even when he could 've played it to his defense. His long range stats is amongst the best in Europe, so I was expecting better.
Having said that, he made some critical saves, handled the ball well. Acc. to whoscored, he was the player with the most touches, and the highest rated for his team, and 4th best on the pitch. :)

He looks impressive for a 21 year old keeper

Thats what people need to remember when criticizing his passing/long balls. His reflexes are incredible and he's got the right attitude to be a star keeper in the future. He van work on his technical skills, but his talent is obvious.
Made some awesome saves today!
