He has better passing than Valdes.

Mats is a 10/10 in Mickey Mouse matches.
And 2/10 in Champions league.

Valdes was 8.5/10 in both.
That's the difference.

We have another mental midget.

Fc Barcelona, a safe place for football players with confidence issues and who struggle under pressure.

No wonder that Unicef is our sponsor.

Impossible not to be a mental midget after so many humiliations.

He's not the real problem, let down by his defence to many times, but in games like this he doesn't make much difference either...

But he has been hyped to many times by people here and the club, nowhere near a top 3 goalkeeper in the world at the moment.

You may not think he is top 3, but I wouldn't swap him for any goalkeeper out there that's for sure.

Man all keepers all keepers have terrible games
No one is saying he can't have terrible games
But and that's a big buts, world class keepers
Show up in big games and make a difference and
Can be a wall now and then, I mean Valdez had
So many shit games but in important games wow
He was a monster.
This guy's freezes and shit his pants in important games
Not once but time and time and time again and by
The way any mid table keeper can make saves
VS gatafee and in unimportant games.
I

I am trying to forget the game, but I can't remember him making any mistakes on the goals themselves, its just his distribution was shocking. You let any keeper exposed like that he will get punished. He has saved us in loads of important games, just people have short memories.

We conceded 8 today, most of them point blank or open goals, how many miracles were fans expecting?

We are pointing fingers at the wrong guy here.

Xavi, Puyol and Valdes grew up during Gaspart's era.
Before Pep, they had like 1 CL in 10 years with the first team (Xavi and Puyol).
Also, Barca was 4th, 5th and 6th in La liga, 4-5 years without trophies iirc in early 2000s and Xavi and co survived inaffected.

Maybe Frosty and our new gen of players aren't that mentally strong to begin with.

Btw, I will pull an old story, remember how he has whined during Bravo's days that he'll leave if he won't play.

Did Xavi and Puyol do that?
Of course not.

Something is seriously off with his CL away matches.

Mats concedes every shot.
Suarez can't score on away matches.
Messi sulks after 20 minutes on away matches.
Alba cries on away matches.
Busi-Raki can't make a pass.
Semedo is braindead.
Roberto is not a RB.
Dembele is dumb and forever injured.
Coutinho is a mental midget.
Arthur is a bad professional.

Remember lazy Arda, or Gomes and his public depression problems.
Bartra was crying against Bayern in 2013 and he asked Tito not to play.
Samper cried in Segunda and couldn't play in last rounds because the pressure was too high.

What a team, isn't it?

Has anyone in our club ever heard for sport psychology?
Probably not.
The only skill they are looking for is passing and little turns.

What a player...

It's true. He hasn't given those crucial saves for us in the big games. It's hurting us.

He is not making the "game savers" on the CL

I agree. However, players like Messi, Busquets, Alba, Iniesta, Pique, Suarez, were not always like this. They are some of the most succesful players of all time. Champions of champions. They never had mentality problems and would play with confidence. But now they are broken and I don't think it can be fixed. Before the stepped into the pitch they were already shaking in their legs.

Although no doubt we need more players like Puyol, Xavi and Mascherano.

The only mental issues those players listed have is an arrogance that they should be core of team seek to assert their control to protect their own positions.

They dont fear defeat if anything the issue is their arrogance and when do lose like today they will blame others.

Bayern have an entirely new team basically from the one in 2013.

We still have a lot of the veterans, who were already fading back in 2013!!

The problem has become mental now but it started with an inability to run 115-120 km a game.

I think lack of leaders is a big thing. We need one guy who will lead this team. I think it will be DeJong in the future. That guy looks like a captain and a winner.

The mental problem is basically panic that instills when you know deep down you're not prepared anymore for big pressure games vs intense teams.

It's a genuine automated response of the organism, before the brain and the mouth deliver the bullshit in post match press conferences.

Yup. Which is why Bayern and Liverpool's models are more palatable for European success. They have interchangeable parts and replace every 3-4-5 years.

With Barca, a superstar drive team, you get incredible highs and drubbings when those players are no longer up to mark but continue to leech off the team.
