I think lack of leaders is a big thing. We need one guy who will lead this team. I think it will be DeJong in the future. That guy looks like a captain and a winner.

Imo, we are overrating Frenkie.

He doesn't have a clear position on a field yet.

He is a better captain than Messi, but he is nowhere near Lucho, Stoichkov, Puyol, Masch.

Yup. Which is why Bayern and Liverpool's models are more palatable for European success. They have interchangeable parts and replace every 3-4-5 years.

With Barca, a superstar drive team, you get incredible highs and drubbings when those players are no longer up to mark but continue to leech off the team.

We're not even a superstar driven team in the proper way. PSG are. We are a washed up superstar team living on past glory.

Even you have to admit he seems to have the potential for it. The guy seems hungry and always working to become better.

Probably in this moment watching replay of the game and trying to figure out what to do better.

His is a puzzling case. He made his name in Gladback precisely for his strong mental game. His time in Barca, however, has been a mixed bag in this regard. He has performed fairly well in the domestic front but has consistently failed in the deep end of the CL. Now whether it's a reflection of his true self or the circumstances he finds himself in, it's hard to tell. I'm gravitating towards the former.

I don't condone the vitriol directed towards him. But he's just as culpable as his teammates, if not more, for today's horrific show. He's been instrumental in our recent success, and will make a profit to the club if he's sold. So I wouldn't be averse to moving him on if it came to that. If are to rebuild the squad and start afresh, those who will or can perpetuate a fragile mindset need to be distanced.

I was so wrong in thinking he’s a better keeper than Neuer. Fukin hell, the biggest false prediction I’ve made on this forum

Any player that willingly puts himself within razor thin margins of error is asking for trouble. Stegen is a master at asking for trouble and finding it. Us thinking he's world class is basically United fans thinking De Gea is world class.

Talented, but ultimately flatter to deceive.

His biggest failing is his arrogance.

He turns away from simple passes to try and open the game up with those ridiculous balls up the park.

The defenders were hiding and passing back to him too often and all fed into that shit show.

Perhaps he wasn't tested enough, this is a different level we're talking about.

Just wanted to point out:

On the second goal from Perisic I have seen people criticize Ter Stegen for his technique. I saw the goal from different angle and shot gets deflected by Lenglet.

Any mid table keeper would save that shot by using
His hand not his feet hhhh the ball was featherd
By lenglet.

I agree would have been better to use his hands, but pretty sure he wouldve stopped it even using his leg had it not been touched by Lenglet. The shot was a very low one, Lenglet deflection sends it up higher in turn hitting Ter Stegen high on his foot.
