Apparently he was playing with injections after his Injury because the Club believed to be able to win all the Trophies this season , so they kinda rushed him back.

Im a friend of optimism but this is wishful thinking :crbust:

Seriously, it just shows that the club didnt really understand the situation, year for year they think we are good enough to compete for cl title. Reminds me of last year when Vidal said that barca is the best team in the world, just before 2-8.

His agility wasn't amazing at his peak, imagine playing key games with a weak knee. Almost explains why he had such a poor change of direction. And why we were conceding the goals we were.

I'd be more furious with this news if our president wasn't new to the club. Because this incompetence surrounding every aspect of the demise of Bartomeu's Barca is less funny than the new wave LGBT comedians.

Saving his own ass by being out for 3 months. Can't sell him now.

It's not like we would even consider selling.

And at least he decided to have surgery now instead of doing an Umtiti, go to Euro and then miss 3-4 months of the season. I know it's very unlikely he'd play (unless Neuer would get injured/suspended) but he could still possibly win Euro but he made the right decision.

Yeah very unselfish of him to play like a one legged man for a whole season.

Was it really his decision though or did the club "force him" to play because Neto has fallen out of favor with Koeman after winter transfer window?

neto proved to be a bum anyway. some people in here just don't want to use their brains and act like spoiled brats.

No need to consider selling him,but we need to get a GK that can compete for him.
GKs aren't that expensive anyway

-Comes off his line for crosses. Refreshing.

-La Liga experience and Alemany knows him well. Excellent.

-Controls the ball like a midfielder. Amazing technique.

-100% winning record.

-Freezes less than Ter Stegen.

-Emits more security to the defence than Stegen.

Conclusion. Sign him up.

Great scouting messi2140.

Also conceded just 1 goal all his career.

Of course. He needs someone to push him. But I doubt that's in club's plans. From all reports it seems Inaki Pena will be our 2nd GK next season and I doubt he'll be a true competition for MATS. Onana on a free next year could be good but who knows what state he'll be in after not playing for a year.

OTOH I think people here are often too harsh on him. He's far from our biggest problem. Sure, he had a very poor season but l think this has much to do with people playing in front of him. Bring better defenders and I think he'll do better as well.

Can't agree here.
He is a core member of amigos,a complacent player who wants things to be handed to him, he has bad knees too.
And if he is bad because of the defense then he isn't a good GK to start with, GKs are supposed to step up when defense let you down, not to be dragged with them.
