Saving wise he was good but so many misplaced long balls when we should calm the situation.
He can be back up here but not the main keeper. He's fine in la Liga but in CL he's sub par. Need someone with big personality and skill. A Neuer, Kahn, Schmeichel type.
Either sell or bench.

Even Messi knows this lol. In the 7 years Messi and Ter-Stegen played together, you never heard his praise him once, while Dibu is most often the first player Messi praises in Argentina.

Wasn't really much to praise him for. Apart from 14/15 this guy has been pure garbage in the Champions League.
Was decent this year though I guess, but he's never going to wow you with match winning performances in Europe as he does in Spain.
Just doesn't have it in him when the lights shine the brightest. Even Germany will rather play with Neuer with one leg and no match fitness than start him.

I see this brought up in here all the time. But that's not a point to make. NT status goes a long way and is based on influence and managers not wanting to experiment.
Neuer has been the biggest German player since he debuted for the NT. No way you can take his place if he's not atrocious or he doesn't want it anymore.

Mats is a great and consistent keeper. perfect for league format, one of the beat in ball playing.
Sometimes we base too much criticism or praise on a single legendary fuck up or great ko performance.
Mats doesn't have those exceptional performances. but still get a grip. he had nothing to do with the loss. also had some pretty hard saves.
