A little, don't know why. Left in an interesting way but that wasn't his fault.

Think it was sad, but who knows what happened. Wouldn't be surprised if the reason for him behaving that way was because of this board.

I don't understand why Liverpool gave up on going after him, especially with the current gk crisis. Being a backup for United... ugh.

i was sad to see VV leave us but i love him for his contribution to a glorious part of Barca's history and respect his decision to enjoy a new challenge before the end of his career. plus i'm very happy with Bravo & ter Stegen so it's all good.

however this seems a rather odd choice for him IMO. sure he's been out of action recovering from injury for quite a while now but he is still only 32 (nearly 33) which is a good age for a GK, he should have another 4-5 years worth of top level performances left in him. why choose to be a backup? did he really leave us to face the new challenge of sitting on Utd's bench? de Gea is a top 5 GK based on current form and is their cemented number 1 and will be for the next 10-15 years unless he really pushes for a move to Real at some point, which i personally doubt will happen. so VV chose the money and will ride the bench for the next 2 years. he's too good for that.

also why didn't Liverpool go all out to sign him?! he was available on a free and they could have easily handed him the starting spot, had Mignolet as a decent backup option and sold Jones.

strange.

FIFA could force Monaco to pay Valdes full amount of broken 4-year pre-deal if a doctor confirms he's fit after a year at United. [ondacero]

Recently re-watched highlights from the City-matches last year, and jeez he was good. Arguably a top-3 keeper in the world when he peaked. Underrated, underrated, underrated.

He had his ups and downs and was rarely been put in his correct "rating IMO" a lot of ppl just say his mistakes only and underrated him, many never watch his mistakes and judge him by his passing
Overall he had gr8 career here no doubt

I have no doubt Valdes was one of the top gks at his peek, when he was called into action he was briliant. However, a few of the defensive records are just as much due to the opposition rarely getting past the midfield when you where at your best.
