Van Gaal said Valdes didn't join the Summer Tour because he 'didn't fit in with their philosophy' because he rejected to play for the reserves. That he lacked respect.

Valdes fired back with a tweet containing the 3 games he played for the Man Utd reserves along with a picture with him and the reserves team with a caption '.....?#respect'

Had everyright to do what he did when taking into account what he did for valdes. I would rather have transparency at a club than constant lies and secrecy.

But have you listened to Valdes' side of the story?

Apparently it goes like this;

Van Gaal promised him the Starting position when it seemed like De Gea was destined to go to Real Madrid. Valdes happy with that.

Van Gaal then told him he'd have to be 2nd GK since De Gea's situation was unclear. Valdes okay with that.

Van Gaal then told him he apparently had to be 3rd GK and play more for the reserves since De Gea might end up staying and they were looking to buy another GK. Valdes said he won't. Van Gaal got angry and yelled at him in the dressing room.

IF that's true then I can understand Valdes' position too.

The only reason a first team player should play for the reserves is to gain match fitness. Couldn't LvG allow him to do that in the summer tour ? It doesn't make sense to me.

Remember why Valdes left in the first place ? He felt he didn't get the recognition that Messi-Xavi-Iniesta were getting and was basically jealous of Casillas.

Really, I could be wrong, but seems to me that an egoistical absolute turd would act no different. And fate has struck hard in his case.

You have a very short memory. He left because he was tired of pressure. The club offered to him 10 million per season, but it wasn't about the money.
Casillas... Yeah, Valdes might have been pissed-off, because since 2009 he was the best goalie and no-one praised him. Good for all of you, must be fun to throw shit at the player who gave so much for this club.

I know everybody loves VV but he is definitely in the wrong here. EVERY single player at United loves LvG and we had a lot of ego's, people just hate van gaal for what he was like 20 years ago, he is much better now.
