Ansu been good on LW... Xavi brings on Abde and plays Fati as some kind of free role in middle..

Ferran been best attacker in pre season.. doesnt get on.

He was brought in the 80th minute... you expect him to crush the opponent...

He should have been in at half time no matter if we were a man down, Getafe was playing 10 at the back either way... to put him behind Abde in the pecking order was a terrible decision

There is still something slightly awkward and unnatural about his movement. Becomes visible when he has to turn his momentum quickly or go full out sprint.

Can't decide who to prefer between him and Abde.

Fati is far better than Abde and been decent/good at LW for last while at end of season and pre season.

Xavi then takes on Abde who is atrocious and plays Fati as second striker.

Crazy really to at least not change that when 10 v 10.

I have wrote lots of time back then that it is hard to tell:
1. whether his goals (often nutmeg shots) are genius shots
2. or totally fluke shots, where he literally tries a shot and doesn't know where he is aiming at

As time goes by, it is more and more clear that he was never a genius. But just a kid who was on a hot streak with a few fluke goals.

Nice that you could kinda get a W with this take. Only took a ruined meniscus, a couple of surgeries and 2 years of knee problems for a 17 year old kid.

Also "the streak" was 16 G/A in 1700 minutes in LL and CL across 2 seasons being 16/17 years old. Would say its a bit much to call it a fluke when the sample size is the equivalent of 19 full games across 1 1/2 season before his knee got fucked.

But yeah, you called it long ago.
