Another magical goal, I was watching the game in a pub and everytime Messi got the ball I told my friends to watch him, and said he's the best in the world by a long way. Just then he nutmegs the defender and chips the goalkeeper... fantastic. Im glad he didnt run much or put in too much effort, I think he needs games like that so he doesn't burn himself out. This is particularly important in cases where we have games midweek like Granada.

2. Ronaldo is more of a "great player" than Gerd Muller was. Muller was really just an incredible poacher (probably the best poacher ever, but nonetheless, there wasn't much more to his game). Ronaldo is a fantastic dribbler, very good at taking free kicks, and frequently plays a bit deeper than Muller did so he naturally participates more in build ups.
