Obviously a great part of Barcas' success is down to Leo. But the dependence is another thing. Yes Barca has an extra gear when Leo is on form, but all together the biggest contributor to the success is the cohesion of the team (e.g La Masia). They all know what to do and when. Having said this, I believe Leo's brilliance is the thing that has made the difference these years and without it this dominance would never have happened.

La Masia philosophy is great to make a team gell but against tough opposition its just passing around without penetration.
We dont have vertical players who can easily beat a man (as in leaving behind) ... only Messi

Barçapocalypse NOW!
Aside from the goals he was rather poor today... His passing was bad and we dribbled into 4 man walls way too many times... Good thing is amazing like that and still scored two goals, the first one being a beauty...

he stayed up all night just to watch Merda's game. Who does that?! Vampires and not the masculine type.

phenomenal consistency.

explains why he was a bit below par today - playing at a high level for as long as he's been doing, performances are bound to dip. still won us the game though, which shows just how powerful he is.

speaking of power, the way he held off the Levante defender before initiating the 1-2 with Alexis for his first goal was just whoa.

To be honest, the way Ronaldo and Madrid players sometime fall over makes me shake my head. It is so frustrating knowing that bulldozers actually tip over like that.

Can Messi become the 1st player in football's history to be directly involved in 100 goals in a single season (Goals+Assists - all comps/Club)?

¤ Leo Messi has now contributed in 89 of Barca’s 167 goals this season: 63 goals and 26 assists. (in 52 games; 49 Starts).

¤ All-time European Records (60+ goals in a single season):
1) - Gerd Muller – 67 goals (Bayern - 1972/73).
2) - F.Deak – 66 (Szentlorinic, Hungary - 1945-46).
3) - H.Groot – 64 (Ajax - 1960/61).
4) - D.Dean – 63 (Everton - 1927-28).
5) - Leo MESSI – 63 goals so far (Barcelona - 2011-12).

Note: Pele's record for Santos; 66 goals (1958).. 75 (Club and Country); Messi has 68 for Barca and Argentina so far (2011/12)..

Tbh I really want him to break Gerd Müller's legendary record of 67 goals in a season. If that means he also wins the Pichichi, fine, but if he doesn't it's no big deal.
