They are usually taken way more seriously than club friendlies, there is national pride, and they let players to showcase their talent for the qualifiers and tournaments. Club friendlies are usually just to build or maintain physical form.

Because of that it's customary to count international friendlies to official games.

25 for Barcelona, 4 for Argentina. If he continues this form and plays every game, he's currently projected to score 98 goals 2012 official games, so 100 is definitely possible.

I doubt he will have the same scoring record from last season. Usually he takes it easy till January but hey close to a hundred is also .

Yeah, Marcelo, Neymar and co. I think it's pretty obvious, that on average they are much more seriously taken, because national teams can't train otherwise for qualifiers etc. Not that there is any debate in this, as it is customary to count them.
