A few shots on target, a magnificent save from Cesar stopped him getting on the score sheet and possibly changing the tie, a few penetrative passes. Inter did well shutting him down. Seems his Argentine compatriots really know the secret behind stopping Messi, Cambiasso, Zanetti in particular did very well. Sneijder in the first half also contributed well against Messi.

Where was Messi's flare? He wasn't even trying going forward, Messi for the first time for real reason disappointed me (but prolly after next match I will love him again haha). Though our whole team wasn't up to standarts.

my goodness?
what flair? even ronaldinho in his prime wouldn't be able to dribble.
impossible...whenever messi get's the ball 2-3-4 players will surround him..
he was not our last man on offence. he had to help xavi out..

I don't understand why he was playing so deep in midfield when we needed goals.

There was no room in the middle to do anything. It's not like Xavi was outstanding either. Every time he got the ball there were 3 players crowding him, and importantly they were normally Argentinian, players who know him well.

Man Messi is part of our team's collapse. I know he is Barca's fave, but whole team gets responsibility, none in attacks had less players on his back as we played versus bus. Sorry but if are you shocked that Messi receives criticism, then I am shocked that you are shocked :D

Cambiasso as interistas say is one of the best passes reader in the world. They might be right.

Sometimes he just needs to start playing like a winger again.

Everytime when he's playing as AM or CF (whatever it is really), it's easy to concentrate all of your DM's on him. But playing on the flank is giving him a shot to play 1 on 1 more oftenly, than the usual 1 on 3 or 1 on 4 as a AM.

You show yourself to be one of the most ignorant members on this forum time and time again. If you can't see the difference between receiving the ball 40 yards out, having to take on an entire team and being on the edge of the box against two static players there's no hope left for you.
