I really could give a fck less about the result in kazan.. if we lose it is not a disaster and we can still easily winthe group... hell send the B team for all i care... just dont Risk Messi for the season for goodness sake...

(if u cant tell im stressing about this l8ly)

It would be a massive boost if we can beat Kazan away...as it will relieve the pressure off the team's shoulders and virtually guarantee top spot....but Messi cannot be risked...the rest of the squad must go for victory though...

That would be pointless to start Messi so soon, D group is walk in the park and losing Messi instead 3 points is millions x worse!

Group D is not a walk in the park...Barca smashed Panathinaikos due to their dizzying display...not because of Pana weakness...Barca will smash that group if they play well...otherwise....there can be several Hercules's down the road...

Lionel Messi Should Not Play For Barcelona Against Rubin Kazan - Johan Cruyff

Barcelona legend Johan Cruyff feels Lionel Messi should remain on the bench versus Rubin Kazan in the Champions League.

Barcelona’s legendary figure Johan Cruyff has claimed that Lionel Messi should not be risked in the Champions League away tie versus Rubin Kazan on Wednesday evening.

The Argentine attacker is still recovering from the ankle knock sustained versus Atletico Madrid last weekend, but has been included in coach Pep Guardiola’s squad for the match in Russia.

As a result, Cruyff doesn’t see the merits in fielding Messi in what could potentially be a difficult encounter for the Blaugrana, and in his weekly column in El Periodico de Catalunya, he remarked: “Right now we just want a quick recovery from Messi’s ankle injury.

“An injury that is not completely cured can give you problems not only in the game but throughout your career. The club can play and compete well without Messi against Rubin, and he should also not play Argentina’s friendly match against Japan. Neither match is fundamental to either team.

“It would endanger the health of the player for nothing, and for the dollars the Argentine FA would receive in return.

Messi’s ankle sprain has healed on schedule, allowing Guardiola to include him in his 19-man squad.

Hercules prolly was one of the worst game Barca had in years, assuming who are our opponents and who is Barca - yes it is walk in a park :D

Good return for him. Had and made a few scoring chances and he got quite a heavy tackle which he seemed to shrug off with no problem. Good to see him back, and hopefully he'll do the business for Barca at the weekend.

Agreed mate. Got the feeling it was a case of easing again but it was very heartening to see him get up from that challenge with no problems at all.

Yeah, I loved seeing him playing again but he clearly didn't look 100%, that was really the only worrying thing...A boost potentially for him to return against Mallorca with Villa out, no doubt

Shame, as others have mentioned, how lackluster in the final third Barca can look with no Leo
