Nevermind, think Raul scored 100 goals by the age of 22, though he was an out an out striker.

Who is the youngest ever player to score 100 La Liga goals? Messi is 5 away from achieving that target, don't think Telmo Zarra hit that many by the age of 23 either. Just curious like.

I don't know about that but he became the youngest player to reach 30 goals in the history of the Champions league, a record previously set by Raul who had it at 24 years and 91 days...

Copenhagen did switch well between away and home game to deal with Messi.

Messi played in the middle and look how less he could do in the centre of the pitch. Not one good pass forward (lack of running people as well) but you can see he was kept quiet. I know Barcelona struggles in away games but this is rather tight.

I stick with it: this game was a great practice for the Clasico.

Messi is already the best player ever in my opnion, Maradona, Pele, Cruyff and Di Stefano were special but Messi, he is just brilliant.

You mean left and right foot ? ;) I guestimate 85% left footed finishes and 15% right footed. Right from his time at Newell's Old Boys most of his finishes were with that left foot.

Nah, i would say Ronaldinho at his peak was immense, absolutly brilliant. He had an incredible shot, better dribbling then Messi (seems like impossible) incredible ballcontrol even with the ball in the air, great acceleration, almost always hit the target on freekicks, awesome assists AND he also had the "aura" to make all other players in the team better, he even had a thing were every players had to give eachother a hug before the game.
He could litterarly make you cry of happiness when you watched him play.
To me he would have easily been the best player ever, i have no idea what happened with those qualities, they were like gone over one season and only became a burden to the team, a shame really and big loss for the football.
Also Maradona did better in NT, theres also Garrincha. Players are good on different things though, and defenders are hardly ever mentioned among the best players ever, nor goalkeepers. Its always the ones that makes goals that people speak about.

Ronaldinho came noway near close to producing what Messi has done over the past 2 seasons now. He was outshining Ronaldinho by the time he was just 19 years old with some master class performances in 06/07, though highly injury prone at the time and as Ronaldinho hit the self-destruct button, Messi picked up the batton an took Barcelona a further level higher than Ronnie ever did.

In terms of sheer consistent brilliance, Messi's so far out ahead of anyone over the past 10-20 years it's almost frightening, and he's only 23 years old. Ronaldo, Figo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Henry, Zidane etc - they never did at club level what he's currenty achieving, and as far as the national stage goes, i've a feeling the new Argentina boss will get Leo back on track too - his international career came to a grinding halt as soon as Maradona took over, which has given out false impressions that's he's always been poor for Argentina.

okey, i watched all the 142 goals that he have scored in barca (friendlys excluded) and did a little research: 95 in La Liga, 10 in the Copa del Rey, 30 in the Champions League, 5 in the Spanish Supercup and 2 in the Clubs World Cup. he has scored 109 goals with his favourite left foot( 8 penaltys ), 25 with right foot, 1 with chest, 1 with hand and 6 headers. he is top scorer in international competition (32 goals ). 100 goals under guardiola era. he's club all time 5th best scorer and hes 23 fcking years old. it is scary...
