Who the hell started this crap ? He said he'd stay at Barca till he wasn't wanted. And that is in maybe 20 years.

I am Leg End
No coincedence ducky - just the best scottish players I could think of off the top of my head. Anyway imo a Dalglish-Law partnership is better than anything the english could get up front.

Plus others like McNeill, Gemmill, Greig and Murdoch.

As I say just imho.

Sme1's very angry

i was askin if u lot think he ll retire at barca...???

i know he said he'd stay at Barca till the club wants him to...But hez also said he'd like to play in EPL in 1 of the UEFA interviews recently...Also expressed his desire to end his career in the Argentina Primera Division (as he wants to experience the atmosphere & the club culture in his country)
In Football u never know, top players like him wud want a diff challenge after winning everythin at a club...i seriously do think he ll leave...may be 5/6 yrs time and when he does, i ll not hold anythin agst him provided he wins us 4 CL and 4/5 La liga titles along the way :D

Well it's a fact he stated it. Don't understand why we would talk about him leaving us. He won't be leaving any time soon though.

If, say for example Inter Offered £120m plus say Júlio César for Messi would you accept?

Not now though...
May be 5/6 years frm now when he has won us everythin and more...and he does want to move on then y not but of course it ll be for an insane amt of money & it ll definitely break the ronaldo transfer record :D (wudnt want Júlio César in the deal he'd be too old by thn)

well the thing is I think england could produce a better team man-for-man in all positions (except right wing, sir stanley was awesome but jinky... blimey, that's a wash) but up-front where scotland just piss all over their chips.

law was fucking ridiculous, I mean absolutely fucking ridiculous. and dalglish somehow tends to slip through the cracks of legendary players (I'm not sure why) when he was pure class.

no.

money is useless in terms of players like messi. no one can do what he does, he's an absolute magician so no amount of money could replace him. julio cesar is amazing but as great as he is, he's not a once-in-a-generation talent like messi.

and added to all that, messi is a cule. he loves the club and WANTS to stay here 'til he's not wanted. and you can't put a price on that kind of loyalty.

I walk the line
When we won the CL, we spoke about milan buying ronaldinho for 100mil and i said it wouldnt be a bad move. However i wouldnt sell messi for twice that. Success is what shapes a club, not its bank balance. The history books dont tell us how much money the club was in the clear by...it tells us which trophies we won. And since messi is from la masía he is crucial to our future success.

yeah I knew which time you were on about, I just felt like basking in the fact that we've won it twice in the last four years. :D

Nothing wud make me more happy thn see Leo end his career here...But im afraid its unlikely.. hez given indications recently tht there cud be such a possibility in the future..i know hez a La Masia Product but it doesnt mean he ll remain here for as long as we want...And associating the word loyalty to a 21 yr old footballer is just premature...Besides, there is no loyalty in modern Football & considerin how things have been unfoldin in the world of football today, its safe to say a player ll 've 2 or more clubs on his cv when he retires...esp wen you are the best in the business u look for new challenges...
I'd bet in 6 years time he wont be playin for us...(i'd love to be proven wrong though)
And It might cme as a big shock to most cules when it happens...So, atleast its better to be prepared...though i'd still be devastated & heart broken...but i wont hold anythin agst the boy...Big clubs lose their best players and still go on to win trophies & we ll do the same...
But ll always love Leo... :frown:

(oh well! may be its the insecurity of losing him after seeing the clubs lose their best players this summer...or our failure to capture any1 yet in the tranfer window...or may be its both.. im just in a bad mood right now :frown: )
