Love is All
that's super awesome Messi Romario combo. I wonder what would happen if Romario in his prime would have partnered Leo week in week out.

Unluckly for me I didn't have Barca paying off Uefa officials to turn a blind eye to the cheating that is taking steroids. Lucky Messi, unlucky me. But one day he'll get caught.''

What about his superhuman quickness? His ability to change direction in a fraction of a second?

It is quite clear that he was aided by these drugs during his early days and honestly we're just lucky the UEFA somehow let it slide

So many misconceptions in one post: Leo was a prodigy before he went to Barcelona. There are quicker players than him. There are players who change direction faster than him.

Most importantly: Leo had a growth hormone DEFICIENCY. The steroids made him whole (well, he is still shorter than average). Furthermore, there are studies that show HGH "doesn't make people stronger and may cause athletes to tire and get hurt more easily" (source: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=awlswGxIiU5c&refer=home).

If anything, it is all the more remarkable that a child with a serious medical problem has become one of the greatest players of all time.

To my understanding, steroids only increase muscular mass, endurance, and aerobic activity.

The problem with these statements are that Messi didn't use steroids, he used human growth hormone or hgh.
One side effect steroids might have if a teenager would use them is that they could stop bones from growing permanantly, Messi needed exactly the opposite lol.
Now if Messi would abuse hgh and have normal quantities of it then it would have certain positive effects on him in terms of muscles and such, but Messi's body had too little of the hormone so by injecting it he was simply satisfying his body's needs for the hgh, any claim that Messi abused any sort of steroids or whatever is false.
