I don´t have enough words to praise him. Simply brilliant 4 goals in 2 matches, I loved the curve he had on the ball when he scored. Seriously who the **** is C.Ronaldo compared to Messi ?

C.Ronaldo must have it from his deceiving tricks...if it fails..it fails..if it works..it works...
Messi has it from his physical characteristics + efficient technique. He "bamboozles" his defenders hehe .Love it how he cuts inside while dribbling everybody.
Thats a real player...like zidane was (ofcourse the only way to compare them...otherwise no) : deadly efficient !

C.Ronaldo is great too but he needs to find new tricks to get passed players...what is also a talent. Biggest mistake of C.ronaldo ,and u r gonna laugh , was his name (there is only one ronaldo ! should be Christiano or so).

I expect more from Messi though. But playing nice in a couple of matches aint enough. He must dominate alot of matched like the one with his hat trick and also on a higher level. He needs to show who is the boss in the CL. Last year he did already quite good but he was restricted by physical defending of strong opponents like chelsea.
Also the fact that every1 was expecting something from ronaldinho. Nowadays Messi acts like a "captain" on the field,taking initiative all the time.
However, he has grown this year...physically (more force,stronger body,and didnt loose his speed) ..when he can play like in the copa ...he will surely be FIFA WPOTY !
He must dominate in CL matches and FCB needs to get very far in the CL. Then and only then he will get a shot at FIFA WP. Being good in Spain isnt enough...its not known outside spain (except for the barca fans)...he should be in the spotlights when the world is watching with great density.

Btw, a nice example....i read on a milan forum that they SUDDENLY admire ronaldinhos freekicks: "this guy is a hat trick god" ,"omg this guy is good for us"...
Isn't that laughable? Every1 who knows ronaldinho from the old days at FCB ...know that he is magical at free kicks ...

This example is to show how narrowminded 1CLUB supporters can be. They see their own stars and support them ...SO its needed Messi shows himself in the CL.

I think you are being a bit overly critical of Messi. I agree, he isn`t the most influental player, like Stoichkov for example. But I don`t think he can change his character. I do agree, however, that he has to to extra well in CL matches. There aren`t much fans that follow all European leagues, that`s for sure.

We all agree Ronaldo deserved the award because he won 2 important titles with ManUtd and let`s not forget all the goals he scored in the process.
