Great assist. The rest of the game was not so good;

I thought he played well. Worked hard, kept the ball well, ran at the Madrid defence and caused problems throughout. He put on the first goal and won the foul from a great run that lead to the second and should have seen Lass sent off. Xavi and Alves were the stars of the show however.

With all due respect Messi is no fool, he creates space just being on the pictch. Everytime he touched the ball he had his ankles kicked, and kicked hard. His assist was enough as far as im concerned, in fact without his assist in previous match things may be different this evening.

I absolutely love this 'grab 'em by the scruffs' version of Messi.

Team playing like crap, put them on his back and create a goal out of nothing to ignite the team, just like he did in the League Clasico and numerous other occasions this season.
