Martino: "Messi's new injury is not related with the previous one, it's the other leg. But we should see if a new injury affects him."

He needs a new doctor and also Brca should not let him play until he is really 100% and if that means 2 months out then so be it.

One of the common denominators in Pep's reign was that Messi played, week in, week out. Is it not possible that interrupting this cycle and resting him is what has changed his regime and caused the injuries?

Possibly, maybe he has rushed back too soon from injuries, or the doctors give the medical green light too soon. He himself said last week that he wasn't feeling 100 % yet, it was clear that he couldn't use that that muscle fully, so maybe it wasn't fully healed yet.

Think too many people on this forum seem to think they know better than the medical staff at Barcelona, obviously the issue isn't just Messi needing 2/3/4 months of rest, he had that over the summer (Sort of). It's clearly more complicated than that, just hope the injury is dealt with.

edit - Appears it's the other leg so not even a recurring issue.

It's not negative thinking. These injuries affecting his thighs are a continual problem and this points to a serious muscular issue. He has had three thigh injuries in a matter of months and with the best will in the world, this is a big problem and may indeed point to a ongoing and persistent injury prone future

He had loads of injury problems when he was younger and they fixed it before. Why can't they be able to do it again?
Maybe change his diet, exercise routine, training routine some more?
Maybe barca needs him to see some other specialists?
