A rac1 journalist now said there won't be any statement. what a freaking mess.

@fcbfandrivel · 5 min Remember what Pep said a while back about taking care of Messi, keeping him happy, & preferably not hanging him out for the sharks? Oh well.

So much this :shakeshead:

Come on Flavia. Messi is not being hung out to the sharks at all.

What more would you like seen done to protect him?

What is being done to protect him exactly? The 'leaked/created' news today did the exact opposite. It's been one thing after the other. The press won't stop, and Bartomeu is not being veement or adamant in trying to stop it.
He's being attacked.

This is not a good read, it's a brilliant read! Specially a must read for those who were preaching nonsense such as "Messi should know his place, the little dictator is not bigger than this or that, players can't do this and that blah blah blah" just to make a case about something they don't have a clue about.

That article has some good points but then goes on to list players that fell out with their managers as if this was common place and nothing important.

However about half the players it named left the clubs they were at due to those arguments and being hard to control and those clubs went on to greater success.

Not saying for one minute Messi should get sold but it names a group of players many of whom were moved on but doesnt mention that.

None of that is being deliberately leaked from the club though. It has cost and will cost many of them their jobs this situation!

The argument hasnt been leaked from club as makes club look bad, Messi tweet wasnt leaked by club, Messi training hasnt been leaked it was public.

Barto has taken the approach to play it down and say Messi is the best. Playing it down and behind scenes trying to sort it out. Thats the right thing to do. What kind of statement can club make without blowing it up even more?

Lucho is getting it far harder in press etc anyway. And rightfully so.

No-one has said this behaviour is uncommon. But what is clear is that it's not ok for players to behave that way (if he is in fact behaving so). As someone pointed out, look at the players mentioned. Almost all of those bust ups resulted in them switching teams before long.

Why are you repeating the same thing like a broken record? Yeah so it's not ok if the players do that. What are you trying to make out of this?
