no his scoring ability I dont dispute at all, I mean his overall play. His not at his top form right now, just the way it is.

Whether its because of bad tactics or his simply declining, iwe will see once the WC rolls around. I really hope Leo turns this around, such player cannot just get dispossed of their skills this early. It irks me seeing people compare ronaldo to messi constantly nowadays, when we all know leo way ahead of ronaldo in his best day.

The problem is that you lose mainly quickness when getting older.

For a player like Ibra this isn't such a problem, because he's never been the quickest anyways. For a small quick player like Messi quickness is everything. So it's obvious Messi won't be the best player with 30 anymore. Though i hope he can keep it up until 28.

yeah but messi is 26, he should be playing up to his high potential that he still has, but he isnt. I refuse to believe this current leo is the leo that we will see from now on

Messi is 2 years younger, not 4. He doesn't look to have lost his speed either.

Well he's lost everything else then .... the ability to beat players , find a teammate with a simple through ball .........

He has beaten plenty of players in his last few games, and to suggest he has lost his passing is just absurd. He deserves he part of the blame for the team's downfall but some people clearly have hidden agenda's or have become blind with hate.

It's blind obsession and too huge expectations leading to strange hate-love. Messi can't save a whole team when things like linkup play, positioning, shielding/guarding don't work that well anymore. Come back to reality, people or try to read/analyze games and not just goals. Sure in the end the result is important but you can't have verdicts based and stuff you either purposely ignore or are unable to read/observe.

I've lost count of the times when Messi DID save the team though , when the team had struggled . That's what's missing ...

Messi played like a god against getafe and he was not even trying that much.And that is THE ONLY PROBLEM.He has stopped trying.

How many times in the last game did he start a run towards the goal and got fouled? The main difference between the current Messi and "the old Messi" is that the current one has three times as many markers on him.
