It's not like we spent 100 M on Neymar, it was 57 in the end. These days you can't buy really good players with low cash , plus this team needed someone like Neymar. Imagine wanting to compete for all the trophies with only Alexis and Pedro as top players in the offensive line besides Messi.

Also , I would have no problems with the board spending 80 M this summer for Suarez.

Neymar's opperation cost more than the 57M of the actual transfer fee. They spent at least 30M more on all the shenanigans they did over there in Brazil.

when did i ever say that wasnt the reason why messi is underperforming today? Thats part of it, yes, but you cant place blame only on that, theres been many matches where Messi has looked uninterested, and I think Im not the only one who shares this point.

As it stands Messi is not really having a great year, and people are gonna bring up the stats, but i cant believe people resort to this now when we all know what leo is capable of.

Messi is having a great year by anyone else's standards, just not his own. But there is absolutely no reason to think he won't be back to his best next season. And I can't think of many if any who are playing better than he is right now, his average form is still way above nearly any other players best.

they did? I heard reports that the price they paid for neymar was 100M or something, but they might be false then. Yeah Neymar is more talented than those two for sure, but both of them have admirabl work ethics, they run and run sometimes to not do anything at the end, but they still run:pep: neymar wasnt really that great the second half of the season, all I remember from him was the constant flopping.

Hopefully he comes back and both him and Leo terrorize defenders like eto, henry and zlatan did

In the league. Suarez didn't play in EL or CL.

Okay, Suarez has 31 goals in 33 games, while Messi has 28 in 30 games (That's about the same conversion rate, regardless of penalties), which is considered Suarez's best Liverpool season and Messi's worst Barcelona season for a long time.

No striker has been better than Suarez this season. His numbers are crazy for a player who missed 5 games + 0 penalties.

Wow he missed 5 games after having bit another player for no reason. He was still 100 percent fit in that time and had extra time to get into better conditioning after the confederation cup. Why is that more praise worthy than coming back from the 3rd major injury in 9 months, having to get match fit etc and still only being 3 goals behind Suarez and CR?

You really believe that he bit Ivanovic for "no reason" ??

Ivanovic was constantly nipping Saurez and standing on his toes , both bladdy painful and extremely annoying .

I put Ivanovic as being close to Pepe for being a cynical , rule breaking animal - those two stand out for me .

Imagine how many times people are standing on Messi's toes or any other player for that matter. It doesn't give them a free card to bite someone. Also calling Ivanovic an animal while it was Suarez who bit him is quite ironic.

I would totally understand if Messi did something like that. Hard not to become annoyed by those constant tackles
