Imagine how many times people are standing on Messi's toes or any other player for that matter. It doesn't give them a free card to bite someone. Also calling Ivanovic an animal while it was Suarez who bit him is quite ironic.

I saw Ivanovic drop a slightly built player a year or so ago just because he nutmegged him on the half way line . Think it was against Aston Villa's Maloney . Maloney tricked Ivanovic and passed the ball then went to run into space . Ivanovic tracked him for 10 yards and punched him in the kidneys , he dropped in agony . Neither Ivanovic nor Pepe should be allowed on a pitch IMHO.

It's not like we spent 100 M on Neymar, it was 57 in the end. These days you can't buy really good players with low cash , plus this team needed someone like Neymar. Imagine wanting to compete for all the trophies with only Alexis and Pedro as top players in the offensive line besides Messi.

Also , I would have no problems with the board spending 80 M this summer for Suarez.

+1 !

P.S Since the standard for the transfer fees around the world was always set by rm, we better prepare the 100+ mil. for top world class players that are already formed and shining if we want to succesfully compete with that kind of a club. Imagine if they buy Suarez of aprox. 100 mil. too they'll have an atack of 300 mil. €, each piece costing 100 mil...

Thats too much.... Specially when his not deserving of that muh right now. Yeah yeah i understand his the star player, but its ba that he gets that much just when his having one of his worst seasons in terms of impact

Eh how do you know how much is too much? Do you details regarding how much money the club makes off Messi?

I don't mind the wages but why do we renegotiate almost every year? That's taking the piss.

The clubs finances change at a very fast rate. Our revenue has gone up at a ridiculous pace.

Also the sponsorship's this year had to be ironed out.

Didn't Messi have a clause that said he had to be the highest paid in the team? Would make sense since Neymar is the best paid player at the moment.

Big big mistake by the board when u bring Neymar in and pay him more
than the best player in the world for the bast 5 years, what where they
thinking off, surely that would piss messi off. the is no way neyamar should
even get anything close to what messi gets.

Some people keep associating Messi's form with the money aspect of his contract renewal when I think that is was the emotional aspect that most likely attributed to his less than spectacular form. Not having the confidence of the board in knowing he was valued and they wanted to renew him must have been nerve wrecking and why he was sick before games more frequently.

Before I knew of all the behind the scenes stuff (rumors of the board wanting to sell him) that was reported I just thought it was Messi being lazy or focusing on wc or even rebelling against Tata.

Now I feel almost certainly that with loose ends tied up on his contract and having the boards confidence again, we will see the best of Messi.

This corrupt board has all of us fans blaming everyone but them (by design).
