I don't think Messi has ever been fast, Its his quick burst over 10/15 yards and his genius dribbling skills that make him look fast.
He has been amazing this World Cup.. 4 goals 2 of witch were match winners all 4 great finishes, 1 Genius assist. Argentina were never going to win the game against Switzerland before a penalty shootout without Messi involved with a goal, how many times I shouted at the TV Argentina aren't going to win this game without some Messi magic Someone else step up ffs.
Argentina were almost playing with 10 men the amount of times Di Maria gave the ball away..Did he set a record for most times giving possession away? Thank F he put the ball in the net though and he cant play any worse.
Belgium tough test but hopefully Messi gets more room and some help from his team mates.

And I was led to believe that he has declined? That he doesn't make an effort? That he doesn't care?

Uh oh.... Looks like that brigade is nowhere to be seen. I reckon they'll creep out from their holes again if Messi don't have a great game again(acc to their standards) and does everything on his own......

After seeing Messi agains Switzerland, can anyone really say that that's not the old Messi? He was superb, left me speechless. Magic, simply put.

true, like I said before, theres some people that only post in his thread when he has bad matches and you never see them when he has good ones

Messi will never decline. I'd still want 35 year old Messi in my team. He might have lost his legs, but he's mentally the strongest player ive ever seen. He'd still be better than most at nearly everything.

What makes you think that he has lost his legs?

Yeah, when Suarez comes then we can see something like 10-11 Messi with Suarez cutting in from right and Leo can drop deep and beast the game. Not like last season when he played #9 and Alves crossed always....

Messi will be a great playmaker in his 30's. Definitely can play in midfield role. Messi will be the xavi replacement :pep:
