I saw these stats about the World Cup recently.. It is literally just his work rate which lets him down at the moment.. Imagine if he ran as much and got into as many shooting positions as Ronaldo.. There wouldn't be any doubt who's the best for these Ronaldo fanboys. It's Ronaldo's work rate and Messi's lack of work rate which is making it the goals stats so equal recently. Frustrating to watch because we all know Messi is 1000x more efficient in front of goal.
