Messi has been MOTM, scored 4 and assisted one. There is no chance they will move the one player in the team who is performing.

He can remain the link between midfield in attack but supported by another midfielder, much like with Barca. Messi still doesn't move enough off the ball to be the sole creative midfielder and that's why I wouldn't approve of him playing behind a #9 at Barca either. Added to that, what Higuain does really doesn't warrant his staying on the team sheet and Palacio doesn't seem any less useless.

Ricky Alvarez is the player to bring on for me. He is offensively good and provides a lot of defensive cover as well. Switching to 4-2-3-1 with someone up front and Di Maria-Messi-Ricky in the middle with 2 CDMs behind them (Masche and Gago or Biglia) will give Argentina more players in midfield and won't cost them on defense one bit, might even improve them.

Some people were saying Aguero is out for the rest of the tournament. Don't know how accurate that is.

To be honest though, even if Aguero is healthy enough to play, I don't know how much he can give right now. His first games were really really poor.

The worst part is commentators were all like "messi didn't play a good game" right until the goal came, like a goal decides whether he played good or not. he played his best game so far in this world cup, but was out of luck.

I dont think he will care about anything if he loses this world cup. He's won everything there is to win with Barcelona and naturally his hunger at Barcelona will only downgrade, and so will his performance if this cup doesn't go good. So much on stake.

Messi was amazing, but I don't see Argentina passing Belgium after watching game against US. They are just too fast.
Argentina as team is really bad, w/o Messi, they suck.
