Even that poor Messi would have won us the match if Alba and Ney were half the players they can be

True, the Neymar chip in the first half was unforgivable.

Messi was still quite poor for most of the game, losing the ball, being in bad positions etc etc

I think he was decent (much better then in the previous games), the only one who created something of quality, shame his 500e goal came in such a disappointing loss.

Still far far off his best. He is a shadow of himself so many lost balls today, ok he was best MSN but not good enough

His passes alone should've won us the game. Shame we don't have someone like Ronaldo who would tap those GOAT passes in all day long.

Nah he can only score tap-ins and penaldos.

Unless you're talking about R9, but then Barca already have a better player in Suarez

Alright, mate, we get it, Barca have collapsed. The snarky shtick in all the threads is getting old.

Anyway, he was good and most pleasing was that he was up for the game. Definitely ran out of legs in the last 15, though. His use of the ball was much better, especially in his diagonals, but the lack of movement by the rest of the team was utterly shit, especially his buddies up front.

You still trolling bro ? Enjoying the meltdown aren't you

Anyway, Messi was by far the best of MSN, obviously not his best self, but he did more than enough to win us the game if Alba, Ney, Suarez etc didn't screw up the chances he created.

The best messi is never returning... we still have a great player but the best messi has been gone for a while now.

He isn't the best of all time.

Even if he retires today he is the best player that ever played the game, there can be no real doubt about that.

Collapse? Not sure there's been a collapse yet, but definitely a meltdown on fan forums. They've only really lost the CL so far, and getting back-to-back trebles was always a stretch goal anyway

Still favourites for the double (easiest run-in to league title), Madrid are not going to win CL - there's no reason to be worried about this season from a Barca fan perspective. Maybe Bayern getting a second treble takes the shine off last season's achievements.

Should be worried about next season though - oldest team in Europe probably, need major refreshments in very key positions, poor bench, coach who might not be up to par, major players have won everything a million times, Copa + Euro + Olympics in the pre-season.

Losing a +10 point lead in 4 games is a collapse.
