Despite being a RM fan, i wont mind if Messi got his national trophy before he retires. As long as it isnt in a final against some other fav players i have, or my own team(yeah, like Norway would ever get into such a position 
).
He do deserves some of the blame himself(not being his usual Barca-level), but man has he been unlucky too. Even if he got it in the Chelski way(2012), it would be like karma.

I 've seen this obsession of playing Messi in midfield from several members here aswell. It just seems absurd to have the greatest finisher of all time and play him in midfield.

Formation isnt everything, Alli also plays in "midfield" but scores more goals than half of the strikers in epl.
