Just realised the french league now has a factor of 2 for the Golden Shoe, joining the Bundesliga, Premiership, Liga and Serie A.

Probably means Neymar will end up with about 60 goals against the fishermen of that league. Be difficult to retain the title this year Leo :(

fishermen  i heard the farmers but thats a new one :worthy:

Messi will still beat his goals, thats what the GOAT does, even in a tougher league. he doesn't run to ligue 1 like a bitch. :messi:

Well, Filipe is a nice guy, but he has also controversial opinion. He claimed today that when you're loaded (money), and talented as neymar, you don't switch club because of money.

I don't claim I know it all, and that he's a liar, but paying Neymar 40m gross per year sure helped, don't you think?

So he is basically a Messi fan but doesn't want to admit it fully.
Who isn't?

You can't like Football, and dislike Messi.

People who claim otherwise hate Barca, that's all.

- He has the best stats.
- He has no behavior problems compared to you know who.
- He doesn't dive compared to you know who.

To hate a football player, one needs to point flaws. His unique flaw is that he didn't win the WC while any normal people can understand you can't win a competition all alone. But since he has no other flaw, his haters are just using it over, and over even if it makes no sense.

I think you can, for example if a player has personal beef with Messi thinks he is an @*#hole or something. But I think it is rare for that to happen to Messi.
Even the player who tried to diss him by saying "you are really short" seemed to respect him after Messi's clever comeback.

And then there are some Argentinians who feel Messi lets them down for delivering for FC Barca but not for Argentina.

Why would he be seen as an asshole though?

He doesn't insult others, he doesn't harrass referees, he doesn't dive. He has a very normal lifestyle even if he is the biggest football star. He doesn' cheat on his wife.

And people who claimed he didn't pay his taxes should shut up as we don't know all the details of what happened (for example if his dad did something bad, it doesn't mean Messi did too).

So yeah sure you can, but many who hate him have opinions that don't make sense.

Messi has insulted other players and has harrassed referees. But those moments have been few and between....at least ostensibly. There is a reason why players cover their mouth when communicating.

I don't say you're wrong, but when he does it once, Ronaldo does it 100 times. he's very calm most of the times compared to an average football player who doesn't have 1/1000 of the pressure Messi has on his shoulders.

And sometimes I don't see the problem saying somebody is an asshole. Messi certainly did say it when Sergio Ramos threw the ball away when Messi thought he would give it to him during the supercup. And no one sees any problem in that, not even Ramos since he was the one who was a dick first.
