Dont event think Messi has been injured really and all a bit of an agreed plan by Barca/Argentina to get him rest.

Had some decent breaks in past couple months so should be good to go for end of season and can rest more if needed.

Rest was a smart move. Wouldn't be surprised if they adjusted and slowed down the tempo during training as well. He and Raki have played more hours than any league outfielder. Only a few GK can match their playtime.

Here's the TYC interview from a few months back:

Leo:
I have learned that the season is long, that there are times which are harder than others because the years fly by and now my body pays the price for playing in so many matches,

If anyone had 16 consecutive seasons like current Mo Salah season, they'd end up with 640 goals & 176 assist total.

Messi: 607 Goals & 248 Assists

Ronaldo: 650 Goals & 215 Assists

Man Utd have this picture of Messi cleaning his own boots after a friendly against Croatia at Upton Park in 2014 framed in their academy dressing room. It¡¯s done so that their youngsters can learn from the greatest ever footballer¡¯s hard work, humility and simplicity. [times]

It's a shame that we aren't able to utilise his finishing prowess in his peak . our focal point is suarez and Messi is playing the role of Diego forlan
